Does the ARC have access to more vision than what we see on TV, the answer is NO!

The camera angles that the review centre has access to are contentious for the public. Does the AFL have access to secret angles that we don’t see on TV? The simple answer is no.
Aside from fixed cameras down the ground, and one on each goal post, the review centre receives only the camera angles that the broadcaster affords them in each game.

That article says a lot, what it doesn't say is that the ARC is run for the AFL by a company called JAM TV... which is run by this bloke:

... so good luck ever getting them to admit their reviewers guessed or got something wrong

If the club remains silent we will know they rolled over and accepted the AFL’s decision. many fans won’t like that outcome.
i hope they fight head office on behalf of the club and the fans. Some of the natives are restless.
I agree, we deserve to know that the club is taking some action on this.

Demand to see the evidence that allowed the AFL to 'tick off' the decision.

Demand to replay the game mid-week, do bloody something about it.

You'd need cameras right on the goal post anything else, like fan's phones, is not enough. snicko sort of technology for every goal post at every stadium in the country.
And if we are going all cricket like, how about teams can appeal 1 ARC decision in a game.
Have your club filming every goal? Every last QTR goal? And you get 90 seconds to challenge?
FMD we have SNICKO

THE AFL'S answer to cricket's 'Snickometer' will be unveiled in round one under a fresh revamp of the Score Review process.

'AFL Edge' will be used for the first time in Thursday night's season opener with microphone technology installed in goalposts to determine whether a ball has touched the post.

The audio contained from the posts will then be synchronized with the Hawk-Eye video feed to determine whether the ball has clipped the post or sailed through.

It comes after last year's controversial Showdown finish where Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins admitted his match-winning goal against Port Adelaide may have brushed the post.

Rigorous testing of the new technology has been undertaken by the AFL football operations team ahead of the rollout at various venues across the League.

As per previous seasons, the AFL's score review official will take control of the feed seen on the television broadcast during a score review once an umpire has signalled their intent to review.

Cricket's Snickometer, often referred to as 'Snicko', was introduced in the 1990s and is used to determine whether a batter has edged a ball with their bat.

AFL Edge will be used at Category One and Category Two venues across the country where goal-line cameras are installed.

They include the MCG, Marvel Stadium, Adelaide Oval and Optus Stadium.

Venues such as Blundstone Arena (Hobart), Mars Stadium (Ballarat) Jiangwan Stadium (Shanghai), Riverway Stadium (Townsville), TIO Stadium (Darwin), TIO Traeger Park (Alice Springs) and UNSW Canberra Oval won't have the technology.

After assessing all the games,we are the best team in the 8 but bundled out by a third umpire.
Our form was the best of all teams at this time of the year.
That's what stinks about it.

This is not first time Richmond has been shafted by AFL whom in past have admitted errors. Just as clubs employ legal representation regarding occasional report to overturn suspension I t’s a matter of time in which injunction should be taken out on blatant mistake.

While it may not result in correcting game result compensation in draft picks should be given.

club should come out first thing tomorrow n say they want the game to be played again due to teh bs video ump

Remember when Jake King was suspended for 2 games after Adelaide had a whinge 2 days after the fact.
Remember when Dusty got an extra weeks suspension because he might've caused injury
Remember when Pickett was suspended for the same deal despite the player playing out the game
Remember when Houli got inadequate suspension or whatever they called it and was appealed against by the AFL and got 4 weeks that was decided in seconds
Remember when the ARC decided in a matter of seconds it was a behind because Lynch didn't celebrate.

10 years ago the goal umpire would've just walked to the middle of the goals and stuck out two fingers and Richmond and it's army of fans would be invading the MCG on friday night.

Stack needs to come back
This pre season in shape first off , so much talent hopefully doesent waste it
if he played instead of gibcus we win by 10 goals against bears

lost at selection table 500 times this year

Can’t believe Geesook are just gonna waltz on in for the easiest flag in 10 years , we were the only team that could stop them
hope swannettes win
