Donald was going to end it with a phone call?

Yeah, that’s how. He’ll tell Zelenskyy they’re cutting him off. Ukraine will be forced into an unfavourable negotiating position.

Zelenskyy should never have listened to Boris. The west was always going to abandon Ukraine, they just wanted to hurt Russia.

That seems to be a world wide issue though

Edit: and it has as its getting worse :(

Absolutely but when people as an example live on Tips at Di$neyland to bridge the minimum wage, the search for a scapegoat becomes a sharp focus

Exactly

Because despite what the democrats and the media tried to portray, Harris is extremely unpopular, maybe even the most unpopular vice president in living memory.

Called that the moment she was announced as the candidate, DesertRoo did too.
They waited too long to pull the rug from under Joe. So were stuck with her, unless they were willing to void all their campaign funds.
Reckon they would've rather had one of Michelle Obama or Newsome.

Harris was just a very poor candidate, who spoke in riddles.

Boris has blood on his hands, this should've ended 2 and half years ago.
The longer it goes, the worse it will get for Ukraine. Russia will just chipping away territory, as the bodies pile up.

Epstein literally called Trump his best friend, and Diddy said he and Trump were close friends.

Stop pretending there's any morality or rationality behind the support for Trump.
Maybe the democrats should've run on that. Except they couldn't because for some ****ing reason they felt the need to appease the Clintons.

I don't think that's actually true, it's a bit of a cliche. I think most Americans just don't believe it can ever change.
I’ll agree and disagree with you here. It is a cliche, but I think it’s true for many Americans (including minorities, immigrants) but not all.

The one thing I will say that perhaps we (as Australians) find hard to understand is that that opportunity over fairness attitude is not remotely seen as a bad thing. There is no guilt attached to it whatsoever.

I reckon more than the celebrity elite vibe, it was the anger borne from spiralling inflation and cost of living pressures that the Dems underestimated.

Still find it amazing that Dobbs didn't give Harris enough of a boost to get over the line though. I can't speak on behalf of women, but I'd vote for my reproductive rights over owning the libs every day of the week.

Bloody country of fundamentalist crackpots. Its like the 1979 Iran of the west.

Pointing this simple fact out made you maga according to the resident polling expert.
Ffs she just lost to Donald trumps.

They learnt nothing from 2016.
Celebrity endorsements didn't help them then and they're now toxic in a post Diddy/Epstein world.
Just reinforces the belief of people in middle America, that the Dems are the party of the coastal elite.

My partner, who is very politically astute and quite left, just said exactly the same

I think “the west” as it has been since ww2 is effectively over. I reckon there are a number of eastern (and central and western) European countries that definitely do not want to abandon the Ukraine, but they’ll be left with little choice in the matter.

Trump will withdraw support from Ukraine and that’s all that really matters. Soon to be a Russian puppet state.

The Dems made the classic mistake of not acknowledging people's feelings.

When folks said we FEEL the economy isn't doing well, they sneered well AKSHUALLY it is.

When people said they felt immigration was too high, the Democrats said akshually it is 6.9 per cent lower year on year.

The two most successful Democrat presidents since FDR were Clinton and Obama, both of who acknowledged the feelings of the electorate as real and legitimate first and foremost.

I like Tim Dillons take, she speaks in gypsy curses.

Ukraine is already in a hideously bad position, and after this winter, its going to be untenable.

Zelenskyy should never have listened to Boris. The west was always going to abandon Ukraine, they just wanted to hurt Russia.

This isn't the relevant thread, but yes, events have borne that out.

It is literally the foundation of the American Dream.

Pagan said it best don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining.
They took their base for granted.

Anyway, surely we can put the delusion that evil Russian machinations got him elected in 2016 to bed now.

He's won crushingly eight years later on 100 per cent all American votes.

The real takeaway is that folks should now maybe start to understand why Russians actually support Putin.

Its also the same mistake Remain made during Brexit.

They tried to deal in facts and experts when the other side was dealing in emotions.

Politics is emotions. End of story.

I wish we had a thread to discuss this..
