Which isnt utilised enough in that cesspit show. Not enough fact checking
Rogan is not the news, it's a long form conversational podcast. People give their opinions. It is not a structured interview. Nobody is forcing you to listen.

Indeed.

The failure of many mainstream media/news outlets over the last decade to take their objectivity and vital service of reporting balanced and factual stories (this failure underpinned by a profit driven culture), combined with a slowness to adapt to the new information landscape, has left a huge hole that is being filled by randoms like rogan, genuine actors and others acting in bad faith, delivering a swathe of information that is impossible for many to even consider its validity. Combined with the sound byte mode of delivery it's no wonder that people don't really have a strong grasp of the current bigger picture realities of the world. It's kinda ****ed and primed for power bases to hijack. Trump knows this and plays the game so much better than the traditional political parties. Hence his use of Musk, Rogan et al in the lead up to the election.

No shit he isn’t the news but if you dont think people are influenced by his opinion then you are delusional.

ItS jUsT a PoDcAsT 🤪

And I dont listen, haven’t listened to slow rogen for half a decade. I still see his **** ups on reddit and other platforms.

Lol I remember that kitty litter episode, he was saying that his friends wife told him about it and then he literally asked Jamie to google it and found out it was bullshit. Someone asked and the school said no or something like that.
He didn’t have Jamie do it in the show. Absolutely not. He retracted in a following cast. AFTER social media and probably spotify said shit.

The biggest portrayers of misinformation is governments, we had a company with a 100% record of delivering factual information and they locked up the editor.

Maybe. He always owns it when he’s wrong.
Still doesn’t fact check enough. Jamie is a good little boy and doesn’t intervene, he sits down and shuts his pretty little mouth until Slow wants him to do something.

The kid before Jamie was given the lemon sars because he was intervening too often.

Anyway. We got there in the end.

What podcasts do you listen to?
Ritually. I really enjoy Peter Hoysteds (Jack the insider) podcast with his Cousin Jack.. its called two jacks. Its left vs right political commentary with FACTS. Its one of the most enjoyable and sensible discussions of Australian and Global politics going round.

I also really enjoy The Shinboners, Tin foil tales and the conditional release program.

Val Keating and as I form my work lunches for the week, I stumbled across Lawrence Mooney and Matt Hardys cast and I am rather enjoying this too.

I mostly listen to audiobooks these days. But most of the podcasts I listen to are about history…particularly ancient history. I squeeze in the odd JRE depending on who he’s talking to, I like the ones with UFC Fighters and other comedians. My favourite podcast is Theo Vons this past weekend, he’s the most unique person around imo. There’s no one like him.

Yes people are influenced by his opinion. The media ****ed themselves by reporting opinion as fact and created rogan.

this is so true;
Funniest part about the zero self reflection, they had a bunch of people recently quit the post because they couldn’t endorse a candidate, I mean how the f are they meant to show impartiality by endorsing.
