Brian Taylor ??
Brundle's not THAT bad...

Ted Kravitz & Karun Chandhok on the other hand, are every bit as bad as BT.

I'm not sure that the AFL world really has a commentator to compare with Brundle - the wise old Grandfather figure. Liggett (cycling) is close, but he's the Grandfather who lost his marbles 10 years ago figure.

Would've been Bruce or Dennis I think.

Oh rubbish. Anything to defend him ehh.
Again, im not a huge fan of Max the human... his father is a different story.

If Lewis made the same move you wouldnt have heard a peep out of the Sky commentators, or people like you. Bit like Silverstone 2021

You've run to defend Max at every opportunity. Tell yourself whatever you like mate.
And youve outted yourself as a Lewis cultist.

Youve been watching F1 for 5 minutes, there's VERY few people who get shit-canned in the same way Max does on a weekly basis.

If you read what I wrote in the first instance I said a penalty was deserved.

Which says more about the biases of the Sky commentary team (i.e. staying quiet in the face of Lewis ****ing up) than it does about anything else. It's certainly not justification for any argument about Max's innocence.

Its the persecution that is driven by them moreso than any desire to prove his innocence.

Not even Senna or even Schumacher was belted in the same way. Of course social media does play a role in things today which they both didnt have to deal with.

Yes, he gets belted, because he's not British. That doesn't mean that he doesn't, sometimes, deserve it - as he did with his move on Piastri last night.

The difference is that when Hamilton screws the pooch they whack him with a limp lettuce leaf, whereas when Verstappen does it they use a cat-o-nine-tails. Both deserve to be whacked on occasion.

100%

I thought it was borderline last night but he did deserve a penalty of some description.

I've watched F1 for 20 years but go off king.

He's been forced into a move he didnt want to make when all the good seats were contractually unavailable.... it sucks big time for him.

Max and Jos wont allow him back at Red Bull sadly

Look he needs to perform due to age. But if he can do well in a midfield Williams he will have suitors when the new regs come in.
RBR are a great unknown because it depends whether Jos is long gone.
If I had to guess I would say Mercedes (I am totally unconvinced by Kimi). I wouldn't rule out Aston Martin if they make massive improvement under newer (sainz wouldn't want them otherwise) and huge cash gets thrown. Alonso doesn't have long left.

Uncharacteristic respect shown by Max for Oscar in his quote on the first turn collision.

My start was good and I went up the inside and then realised it was going to be tight at the apex with Oscar. I tried to stay on the kerb but unfortunately we clipped the tyres and spun which wasn’t great. I have already apologised to Oscar, he is one of the last guys you want to come together with and it wasn’t great.
