How much attention will you pay to the In-Season Tournament?

The whole Haliburton for Sabonis trade is a strange one for sure. Sac got a player they desperately needed but probably needed to find another way to do it, any other way
Hali wouldn't have developed as well behind Fox anyway. One or the other needed to go & they really had little else to offer

People try and find winners/losers in every trade but that isn't a bad one either way. Hali will go on to be great but that was very unlikely to occur in Sac Town so why worry. He got his own team in Indiana to turn into this

Yeah agree with all that but it feels like a conversation that has 10 years to play out still

I don't think this is fair with some trades.

Hali will very likely go down as great but Sac got what they needed at the time to finally start winning some games
+ Hali definitely wouldn't be where he is had he stayed anyway

They both did fine and analysis of it years from now and 'what ifs' probably aren't 'fair' if that makes sense

Bringing in Sabonis actually help make the Kings relevant again and return to the playoffs for the first time in almost 20 years.

If anything I honestly think we should be more scathing of teams like the Bulls and Knicks who overlooked Haliburton in his draft for a couple of scrubs (Pat Williams and Obi Toppin)

Lakers defence led by AD, has really picked up lately since that hammering in Philly.

I don't like the look of Davis getting his **** together on both ends of the floor.

Still the barometer of how far this LAL team can go imo
It's fine, he'll go down injured soon enough. Does it every year, looks flash for a few weeks and everyone says he's MVP candidate, they can win with him etc. Never happens, always breaks when needed. That isn't changing

Congrats to Los Whistles Lakers for such a magnificently officiating performance that screwed the Suns out of any serious chance of winning.

Short end of the stick on the whistle not helpful, but neither is allowing your opponent 27 extra shot attempts

Would you say he was better or worse than a Chicken Big Mac?

Well the Bender trade cost the Pacers Antonio Davis and possibly a championship, whereas the Chicken Mac will set you back $10.

So, the former.

Pretty much this.

I'll be keeping as close an eye on the Lakers' whistle as anyone when the Battle of the Two Cursed Franchises TM happens on Friday, but 21 offensive rebounds to 8 and 20 turnovers to 9 ain't going to get it done.

has been the same story for about 20 years - back to the D'Antoni days and pretty much why San Antonio was always able to beat us when it mattered. offensive boards was always an issue.

not going to get much go your way in LA with the propsect of sending LeBaron to Vegas either.

You? Scathing of the Bulls?

I'm shocked

I be guessing Lebron will be the first player to really want to win the in season meh-nament. Not being critical of, but he'll take his player option next season and the Lakers can't get any better unless Austin Reaves goes passed Devin Booker

So may as well win something.
