Was waiting for someone to do one of those. The last eagle with the black outline actually looks pretty cool, just doesn't really work with the rest of the guernsey.

It definitely is an improvement but I might be the only one here who reckons a lot better could've been done. To me it just looks like a reversed Hawks logo.

Or, peril v purple.
Royal Blue and Purple have been deemed a clash for years - nothing's changed here. Our default 'away' jumper is still Royal.

For sure but doesn't mean they have to make the logos similar, can't see why they just didn't use an updated version of their old logo. Nothing speaks "traditional logo" like the traditional logo.

The reversed Hawks logo calls are so
There is so much difference in the style and composition of the logos.
Both are depictions of birds from the same family. Apart from that it's like saying the Gold Coast logo is like the Carlton logo because they both have letters.
Edit: Remember that the Eagles have had a bird head based logo for their entire existence. Choosing to continue that tradition to keep their branding solid was the clearly correct choice. Sure, you've got a bird head from the Accipitridae family, which the Eagles have always had. Other than that the logos are nothing alike.

This is glorious.
The only concerns in the teaser were the shade of blue and gold, but these are absolutely perfect.
The logo also continues to grow on me. These are league best guernseys.

Just compare the depth of the wings here. This is why a new logo was so important, and i've been saying it for years. The old logo wasn't fit for purpose because it's width meant it didn't fit within the wings well and pushed them shallow and wide.
Look at the difference in wing depth here. I can't overstate how much of an upgrade this logo is, purely because of what it allows you to do with the wings, your greatest visual identifier.

So close, yet so far... I personally can not stand the new logo but with a few revisions and they could have made it so much better.
