Devils advocate. If it was a training device why do they need to blow it up, if they knew they'd been training, they'd know it was a training device.

Seems fishy, seems to me they're using that to restore faith in the safety and non bombability of OT. Also the british media were disgraceful, as soon as it was announced as an evacuation the cameras were panning over islamic looking individuals in the crowd.

I understand reports said it wasn't a police device, it was left behind by a private mob who did a training exercise there earlier in the week.

At the time of detonation i am not sure they knew it was a training piece. I think all of the information since shows it was a f*ck-up of major proportions. Some would say it symbolises United's season. :D

Saw a comment on social media after the abandonment.

Not verbatim but something like this....

"Game v Bournemouth postponed but United are still playing anyway. 36 minutes and the score is......... 0-0

Rooney has passed to Carrick who has passed back to De Gea.

We'll get back to you when they move past halfway"

I thought NRL was men's 'excuse' to be rough each other?
Why is the word "feminine" a slur?

In any case, I'd rather that putrid sport was not associated with my gender
In all honesty it's because the males who play that sport are sooks. Not trying to be sexist so sorry.

Majority of females have bigger balls than any male soccer player, yet females don't actually have any. Tell that to any soccer players face and they'd probably try and pick a fight because they're ashamed that females have more balls than them.

Agreed that it's a putrid sport though.

In a pluralist society, I think that all reasonable people will agree that consenting adults should be allowed to practise soccer in private.
Provided they don't scare the horses.

So narrow minded. Do you have a VB with your parma for dinner?
Follows an attack on a "narrow minded" individual with an inference that I must be a beer-chugging, parma-gobbling bogan if I don't enjoy soccer. You're right, I do like a parma (although I don't drink).

FWIW, before I turned to footy I was a massive soccer fan. I watched probably 3 different leagues, played soccer myself and did spend huge amounts of time playing FIFA in my younger days. I actually had to force myself to like AFL, such was my level of obsession. Now the tables have turned
Now! Now! Takes an enormous amount of skill.
Not denying that, just isn't for me

Um! More juniors play the sport than any other I'm told. Where do they fit in your world.:)
