I wonder how much of an impact Tucks ankle injury had on his kicking this 2007 season. He didn't turn the over that often honestly, but his occasional short pass was a cut off. He barely turned the ball over in 2006, so I'm hoping his ankle injury was the main problem. I wouldn't call a long kick in a packed forward line a turnover either. I'm hoping Tuck has a big 2008 and will show that 2006 wasn't a fluke

personaly i think tuck is one of richmonds most consistent blokes. i love watching him play. he is so hard at it and gives his best each week. reminds me of boyd from bulldogs both 2nd rate midfielders but are guns who dont get the credit.

I classify a blind grab'n'hack kick out of the centre to an opposition player a turnover (call me crazy), therefore he did turn it over alot. He was building a reputation as a topline midfielder by the end of 06 then this year he went completely haywire. really hope he can turn it around next year as he's important to us going forward.

This will be his and Tivendales last year at the Club. Only there for another year to protect the younger bodies. Both will not be in our best side in two years and if we get Brennan they will be cut to free up some $$$.
Prefer D Jackson than Tuck.
Tuck's disposal in his recent year = Butcher
Lets not forget how poor his year was and if we think it wasnt poor then as supporters we have low expectation and accept crap.

Not if he is banging long under pressure with no clear short options.
The long kick is the best option in this case and if the opposition turns the ball over then so be it. But this isn't a skill error if it is the best option

Tuck had a great year and next year will be massive. No player in the AFL was given so many jobs by his coach and no player his size has ever had to play 2nd ruck option for nearly 22 games. Tuck will be bang on next year you watch. With all our midfielders improving he could park himself on the back flank and win a Brownlow.

I could be right off the mark here but if they say that Tivandale is delisted then I reckon we have already secured an agreement with Brennan

Tuck is fine and I can't bleive those that are bagging him, he carried a lot of the load in the middle this year including stints in the ruck when our ruck brigade went down.

I like him in our team he is hard at the ball takes a good contested mark and he hasnt missed a game for 3 years. To say he won't be in our best 22 in the future is a ridiculouse statement, he will be an integral part of our best 22 in the next few years.

Fair dinkum...Tuck plays all year injured having to kick on his left foot and gets crucified by most people for the effort. No 'we probably would have been winless for the season without him'...no 'what a great effort to help keep us vaguely competitive' - just 'why can't he deliver on the chest 9 times out of 10 on his non-preferred foot.'

He was comfortably our 2nd best midfielder for the year and really wasn't that far behind Foley - with a lot of daylight after those two.

He finished 3rd in the B&F playing injured all season, topped the club for total clearances (2nd to Foley in centre clearances), 2nd in tackles, was 4th in the entire league for hard ball gets, averaged 23 possessions a game and was once again clearly our leading goalkicking midfielder.

Last year (something resembling fit) he topped all the above stats.

We should delist him because he performed so poorly while battling to even get on the field and play.

Post of the pre season so far. Wake up all you other dicks. I know for a fact that he was made to play by his coach last year at least once when doctors had seriously recommended against it. He was playing with a needle in his ankle nearly every week.

I always laugh at the scrutiny that Tuck gets... we pick him up for nicks and turn him into a bloody good midfielder. He is the only bloke on our list (bar Coughlan) that even remotely uses his knackers when trying to get an "earned" ball... but still we have some tools having a dig.

Compare him to Kane Johnson. Captain of our club, cost us pick 2 in a strong draft, but delivers little. Tuck is never going to be a champion, he will have his brain fades... but the guy is an absolute bargain!!!

He would walk into the starting 22 of probably 12-13 other clubs.

tucky is a great player i love watching him play hard at the ball tackles hard an always give his all.playing injuried all year along with johnson did there jobs even while injuired.

Agree that Johnson has played whilst injured, but he does not produce anywhere near expectation and standing at the Richmond football club.

he was getting injections for the first half of the season. Tuck underperformed this year but he had a decent excuse. I think next year he will be back to his best. It will be like gaining a new midfield with Tuck, Cogs and Polo all 100% fit

When Tuck Tivendale and Hyde dont make our side due to younger players coming through then we know we are on our way to success.
Cogs will replace him in the centre, Tuck will be no good at half back, u need to set up all of your attack from half back and he is simply not creative enough nor has the speed.

I think Tuck is ok hence OK, and he did play better towards the end of the year and I acknowledge the fact he was injured and that he played out of position however if he is in our stating 22 in two years, two things have occured:
1) We have not hit with our recruiting this year and next &
2) Our player devlopment is the worst in the league as he would be getting games ahead of Foley, Connors, Lids, Tambling, Edwards, Cotchin/Morton, Polo D Jackson M Morton
And if Cogs has a full year next season I honestly cant see any room for Tuck.

tuck has always been a shit kick, injury or no injury

when he starts coming off the bench we will finally have a genuine quality midfield, the fact that he is in our 1st rotation just epitomizes why we have the worst midfield in the comp

we didn't ask for opposition supporters comments. Go back to the hawk board

another classic case of the misguided. Will follow the same path as a previous example in Hyde. going to be the next big thing, going to be this going to be that, did this once did you see it?, talked about as an elite about to happen, and then what? yep, you guessed it, when the team begins to add talent, the talentless stand out. ;)
