It's the length, not the guarantee that is the issue I'd say.

Non-guaranteed deals also mean less protection for pro athletes who are injured while in their place of employment.
Yeah if nothing went beyond 3 years except for maybe guys with a certain amount of years at a team then a lot of problems would be solved. Waiting out Redd and Gadz is hell.

The Dunk Contest
- it's not what it use to be, the nba use to put the best dunkers in not just the most well known eg. terrence stansbury, kenny smith,j.r rider
these dudes could straight up just jam it unlike some of the more modern selections cough nate robinson, dwight howard cough who have to use all these props which lets be honest doesnt really make the dunk that much better. imo the nba should just have the best dunkers even if they are free agents eg. James White,Mike Taylor (europe) ,Brent Petway (europe) and maybe even let some of the tfb blokes in the acutal contest not just a seprate one.

I agree with who ever said the travelling. I know this used to happen back in the day but it's much more prevalent these days, I'm all for a great dunk but some of these guys are getting run ups!

Some of my faves, especially Pietrus and Maggette.

1. Kenyon Martin's lips tat!

Ha, good one. I had no idea what they were for until i went to the Nuggets/Kings game just before the new year. Was sitting 2nd row and a fella infront told us the story.

Apparently those lips are for/from a female rapper, 'Trina' Taylor. She is now broken up with Kenyon and going out with Soulja Boy who also has the same tattoo on his neck. We were giving him shit about it until he gave us a dirty look, then we stopped.

goota agree with the points about the salary cap.......teams like the pacers wolves kings grizz hornets will never be able to compete with the lakers celts knicks(if they can get their ass into gear) but it also comes down to ownership....what owners are willing to spend. the kings last year were almost D league quality

free agency shits me also....again teams like the lakers celtics chicago often benefit as big name free agents are easily enticed to big markets as opposed to minnesota indiana etc

also if tracy mcgrady and iverson are starters in the all star game that is a disgrace....god people are stupid.......the all star game is supposed to be about the best of the best. mcgrady has played 6 ****ing games!!!!

- Tim duncan's lack of emotion
- NBA dress code
- The amount of fouls

But by far my most hated is:

Tech fouls- if you look at a player you get tech fouled, if you hang on the rim for 0.2 secs you get tech fouled, if you celebrate a basket you get tech fouled etc etc

4. NBA Cares...no they don't. Seeing Noah or JR Smith or Shawne Williams in a chef hat dishing out soup doesn't convince me these are good guys.

Touche. It's sickening how public the NBA makes everything good they do, it's great that they are doing these sort of things but you don't have to shove it down our throats. I understand they want to change how people perceive NBA players and get rid of the view that they are all thugs but have some subtlety in how you do it

1. Shooting sleeves. You don't need them. Don't put racing stripes or whatever on them Dwight, you don't even shoot. If they invent a left-hand-cannonball-off-the-top-of-the-backboard sleeve, you can wear that. I have seen centers who don't average 3ppg sporting the arm sleeves. The scorers might have a reason if they wore them o their shooting arm, but they don't.

those things look terrible. i get why college players weat t shirts (to hide their lack of biceps) but wtf is with grown men wearing ONE sleeve????

Oh another one...the constant pick and rolling. Sometimes the game resembles a 2 man game with 3 guys standing around for the open shot. More offense needs to be run.

sounds a bit like the nbl. 2 man game. PG dribbles around screen set by player B. player B pops out (instead of rolling into the painted stuff). player A can go through the wall of defenders. throws out to player B. player B shoots a long range j.

MIP board.

I've seen traveling and star calls mentioned, both of which I agree with.

But what about carrying the ball on the dribble? Does the rule even exist anymore?

It only gets enforced when your are finally watching your team on ESPN or One HD and it makes you throw some object at Dick Bevetta's head.

More annoying than his forehead is the commentators calling him Jo-el.

Its Joel FFS

Agreed brother.

That Jo-el Selwood for Geelong is a handy player.
