He didn't stop.

As soon as he jumps, grabs the ball, he curls up and falls to the ground.

Push in the back is supposed to be when the player tackling does it. Not when the player with the ball hunches over and falls face down.

Hence why theres no free kick.

He was never going to get away from the tackler though.
