Not that they are in the same class... but if they're willing to pay Wells a wheelbarrow of cash to come, it is easy to see why they are prepared to give Broomhead 2 more years and see if he can reach his potential. Both have outside run and poise that our best 22 is craving. Hopefully his body is up to it.

Anyone heard if he tested the market at all before putting pen to paper? Would have been interested to see what he would habe been worth. Glad he signed with us though

I said earlier in the trade thread that I thought that Adelaide's 2nd would've potentially been on the table IF they were keen (and maybe with a swap of late pick or sweetner pick back to crows). Crows paid a bit for seedsman and I suspect given his potential ceiling, broomhead would have attracted a similar price.

An elite kick, he is also someone the Magpies think could rotate through the midfield in future seasons.

I was happy when Scodog broke the news and I'm still happy now that the club has confirmed it. Broomy isn't a typical footballer. I really hope that he feels part of the group
