Time to step up!

Cleve Hughes.

He needs to step up and cement his spot as our number 1 tall forward.
I love the guy and reckon he can become a gun but if he doesn't then it's gunna hurt our chances of playing well into September.

Kosi definitely. At times he looks like he's about to break a game apart. At others he looks like he'd rather be out fishing on the Murray than playing football for St Kilda. Show us why you were taken at no.2 Kosi.

Dal needs to put in a good season after an average one for his standards.

Raph too, been the whipping boy for a few seasons. Shut up a few mouths with his finals performance. But must continue with it...

And it's hard for me to say, but Armo needs to do a bit more. He's shown glimpses and I love his agression and attack on the ball, which is mainly why I love him so much...he just needs to get more touches than tackles. :p

They all stand up, we're in for a good season.

Obvious one for Saints is Kosi. A lot of saints fans calling for Dal Santo to lift his game to the elite as well. Maguire needs to step up but that's more of a staying on the park issue. Others to a lesser degree are Raph and X Clarke.

I definately agree with Kosi.

Dal's Shown his form, but it would be great for him to be a more consistant player.

X. Clarke and Goose just need to get out onto the paddock before we start to critisize their game, I think the last half of R. Clarke's 2008 proved he has come of age and become more noticeable when he won the clubs most improved player award.

I also hope that Luke Ball has an injury free season and would love Leigh Fisher to hit his straps get a regular spot in our best 22 and from all reports he has been tearing it up on the track.

Definately Harris need to make huge strides this year

This one is a bit harsh as i know he is very young but i still believe Hansen could take his game to another level, i think he is mature enough

Also my man Wells, he got alot better in the last 10 games in the season and i believe next year he will definately come of age

Shannon Hurn.

Has good pace, can kick 60 metre bullet passes, strong body. The only issue is his lack of fitness. If he can get this right and gets enough midfield time next year, well...look out.

Keeping with the SA theme; Mr. Beau Waters and, to a lesser extent, Sammy Butler

Beau missed a large chunk of last year with his broken arm, and Sam Butler has never been right since the '06 GF! Both premiership players with bucket loads of potential. Add to that, Beau has just been added to the leadership group.
Time to step up fellas!!! :thumbsu: :)

Daniel Kerr could step it up a bit too, by keeping himself on the park rather than at the tribunal ;)

Spud Murphy or Adam Campbell.

Step up and be a AFL FF or GTFO the list.

Can't disagree that these guys need to do more, but for me the one player who needs to show he can do it is Marcus Drum. Had a few years in the system now, played a few good games but is still questionable as to whether he makes our best 22. He needs to cement a spot and show he was worth the first round pick.

Most essendon fans would say Laycock but i disagree. People don't expect Laycock to do well, they don't expect Laycock to do anything, there is no pressure on him, whatever he does is considered a bonus.
I reckon the time to step up is Gumbleton. He doesn't need to stand up and take the competition by storm, he doesn't need to kick 60+ goals, but he needs to show why he was Pick 2 in a superdraft. There is so much pressure on him from essendon fans it's extreme, and hopefully he doesn't actually read these types of things, because the poor bloke would feel the weight of the world on his shoulders. He needs to show something, show what he showed against Fremantle about 10 times next year, will be certainly passable.

I dont get it. First of all you say he is very young then you say he is mature enough.

Daniel Kerr.
Needs to mature a little and embrace leading the midfield. Step up son.

Honourable mentions: Brent Staker, Mark Nicoski. Both potential guns if they can step up.

Laycock needs to step up and provide good back up for Hille. If he does, we become a much better side.

The pressure is on him because the club showed faith by giving him a 2 year contract. We've seen how good he can be when he chooses to pull his finger out. He owes the club and supporters big time.

Theres 4 that come to mind for Fremantle:
1. Headland: Showed briefly early this year of what he could be for the club before injury but has had trouble sustainting this form in recent times. He is a barometer for the side and doesn't ever seem to do anything unless the team is going well.
2. Tarrant: A former AA forward, he has the ability there but is unable to consistently produce good football.
3. Ryan Murphy: In 2006 he looked like he was something special, since then he has gone missing at AFL level while still dominating WAFL level.
4. Adam Campbell: Although given limited opportunities he only ever is able to produce 1 or 2 consequtive good games at AFL level.

its time for Wells to step up and become an elite midfielder for us. he has the talent to do it

Tarrant has been that way since day one though.

Cleve Hughes, needs to play all 22 games unless he is injured and kick 50 goals.
Tambling needs to step up and play some consistant footy.

Brett Deledio will take the step up from a very good footy player, to an elite, anbody who has seen him down at training and disagrees that he can not do it would be a brave man. Still too fast for anbody, and too strang is an absolute tank now. The competetion is on notice.
