I've found that guys are really good at conversation if you telegraph it, which for me looks like this:

Hi I'm Taylor, I like talking about AFL, then cricket, possibly even non Australian teams if you're up for it, science fiction, dirty jokes and innuendo, daydreaming about holidays.

That is a whole first date of material to fly through and if a guy reads it and thinks "nah, she sounds boring" then all the better
