I saw a joke of a suggestion in the Swans board! Jesse White and a second rounder for Tippett! Apparently White and Tippett are very similar! Hahahahaha anyone but Sydney! They've got nothing!

Smart also said earlier in the day that Tippett could sign as early as today. Fairly sure that isn't even possible given that he isn't a free agent. Trade period starts next week.

I'm sure he didn't literally mean sign. Just... get it all prepped? ;)

Grundy is definitely a player we could use. Very hard to say how long Rutten has left in him, and, while I'm comfortable with Otten or LT as stop-gap replacements in case of injury, we could use another real KPD. Grundy is very solid, and a local lad.

I'd want sweeteners of the first-round type, but I wouldn't be too disappointed to see him coming our way if Kurt goes to Sydney.

I still think we should be trying to get GWS to show interest...

Kurt screwed us and now he is screwing his new club. His manager has released the Swans and Collingwood talk to boost the GC offer. Remember it's all about Kurt. w***er.

Swans won the flag without Rohan or a hulking forward. They are gaining one of those two things and losing a kpd which is an easier spot to fill. I don't see it being too out of the question...

I don't see why not. You'd have to think that after being delisted twice by AFL sides, he'd be far more grateful of an opportunity to play AFL football here if it were presented to him.

Friends for life? Hahaha, sure Kurt, sure. If they didn't think you were a gutless prick already, I'm sure they do now.
Take note that what the the consensus is on Bigfooty is not necessarily the same as that felt by the players. Just look at the hugs Phil Davi$ gets at the end of each GWS game against the Crows.

No disrespect to anyone in particular, but im sick of non-crows supporters posting rubbish like "you wont get player X" or "no way will they give away player Y".

A player we have invested 6 years into who happens to be a sought after commodity in terms of the position he plays along with his ruck ability, WILL be worth what we ask.

The AFC need to stand up, show some backbone and be ruthless in the next month. If we get bent over and reamed in a deal , Trigg can piss right off.

If Tippett goes to Sydney, We should accept nothing less than a emerging gun (Jetta, Rohan, Hannebury) and their first pick, i dont give a shit what people think of this. We are negotiating and will demand the absolute BEST on offer and work our way form there.

Maybe it's because he looked them in the eye and told them he was going, and they respected that? They probably also realised that nobody else in the league was ever going to offer him that kind of money ever again, especially not the Crows. Kurt has turned down $800k a year to stay with the group, turned his decision into a circus, and then informed his so called mates via text message that he's not coming back, and that he hopes they'll be friends forever.

No way will the Swans let go of Rohan, surely. He's pretty integral to their team I would have thought.

I mean, I'm no Swans supporter, but I would have thought that he'd be an important asset to them going forward?
He's exactly the sort of player you'd trade, given the bad broken leg.

Let someone else carry the risk.

Mind you, Kurt wasn't exactly a picture of health this season.

Quick update

1) Kurt will leave the Crows

2) Kurt will go to the Gold Coast

3) We will get a mid to late first round pick or player equivalent.

Blucher and Tippett are playing games. He's going to Collingwood- Collingwood say no. He's going to Carlton - Carlton say WTF. He's going to Brisbane - the poor buggers still think they're a chance. Wait, no he's going to Sydney - Sydney smile in a all knowing way.

After delaying a decision to the Crows for twelve month, today was the "absolute , I'm not joking this is it Kurt, we've drawn a line in the sand Kurt, we can't wait any longer Kurt, we're counting to ten Kurt" Time so Kurt (Blucher) says "I'm going some where but I'm not sure where".

After a few more surfs and due contemplation we will hear,

"Clearly it's not about the money, I've always been a Gold Coast boy at heart................................."

Now that Kurt has established a track record for respecting the truth "I will give you my decision personally Phil, I will definitely be at the B&F, I will look my team mates in the eye when I announce my decision" don't be surprised if there are more smoke and mirrors before the inevitable happens.

If I understand the process correctly, we decide if we accept an offer not the offering club or the player. We will not be accepting unders. Simple as that. There are 4-5 clubs wanting our player. Pay up or miss out. FWIW, I think his manager is driving his contract with GC up by inventing competition for him. GC will get him and they will pay a first rounder and Gorringe or something along these lines.

Hearing Rendell is the man pushing for the Pies to get Tippo. Crows apparently, although I can't find it, have said they expect Tippett to go to the Pies and will meet as early as tomorrow to discuss formal discussions.

If true, really can't blame him. If he can snab Tippett, he's doing his job really well.

'mid to late first rounder'....I want more than that...that is a joke

Right, so if it is indeed GC, which im not entirely convinced it will be.... We need to be going in and telling them to "sharpen the pencil" in no uncertain terms.

The following trades should be what we ask for FIRST up (not saying they will get done but to show we mean business):

-Pick 2 and one of Gorringe/Day/Matera.
-Gorringe AND Day + second round pick.
-Pick 2 + Caddy comp pick (11ish).

If this is not how the negotiation starts, Noble/Trigg have no clue what they are doing.

BTW, i dont care in the slightest what non crows supporters think of this, this is a Crows forum and we will call the shots.

Don't think it's the same this time. At least some of them are filthy with him. Might be a polite handshake after the match but no loving hugs.

He's going to Gold Coast for sure but they're baulking at his asking price so he's using other parties as a decoy. If the AFC are smart, they'll realise they can use the same bargaining chips (Sydney and the PSD/GWS) to maximise the gain for the Crows.

Unfortunately Adelaide have a history of trading early and trading dumb. Need to grow some balls and make Gold Coast sweat a bit. We still hold a few aces but I'm not sure we know it.
