No not at all - I don't employ them (at least I'm honest) and prefer not to have to look at them on my fav Crows players - all that damaged skin to likely be very painfully repaired at a later date (yes the stats say HUGE buyer regret in later years when it comes to tats). So no I don't like looking at acres of damaged skin. But happy to agree to disagree on that one headache!

And I'm sure a large number of those stats are people who decided to get a stupid tattoo whilst they were drunk, rather than those who actually planned theirs out and got ones that mean something to them.

Thanks for that. One more question. If Tippett is allowed to nominate a higer wage (say $1mill) in the PSD than what Sydney are currently offering ($700K and $800K as per my example) does this also mean that if Sydney get to pick him up that they must also pay $1mill or can they then fall back to their orginal agreement?
Fairly sure they'd have to come up with $2M in the first 2 years - and they can't afford that in 2013.

Poached IMO would be a player under contract ......outside of contract, no just a trade and you can't blame Sydney because if it wasn't them it would have been GC or Brisbane
I don't know about that.. Given the commonly held belief that he was headed for GC, you could almost argue that they poached him from GC rather than Adelaide. I think he was always going to be leaving Adelaide, so suggesting that he was poached from us is probably a bit strong.

Correct given Tippett was out of contract and as we now know was only pondering which club to go too v staying in Adelaide

Sydney have said they are offering him less than us next year. They must be back loading his contract therefore he can't command $1M next year and won't put that price on his head. We need him to believe by going in the PSD he could go to another club.

Only Blucher could be stupid enough to think no one would grab Tippett before Sydneys first PSD pick. There is no way that Sydney will think that getting him in the PSD is an option

Actually headache this is one of the very few times you are not correct. According to the American Dermalogical Society over 50% of people regret their tatoos, rising to over 70% in married people (Royal Navy survey). And costing 6-7 k to remove the average tat over 10-15 very painful sessions of laser therapy over a couple of years you'd want to be sure you want it for life in the first place. That $100 tat can cost $5000 to remove. Tatoo removal is the fastest growing area of dermatology.

Not to mention the stigma (yes it still exists) and social and emotional risks.

So as I said before to me they are like permanent severe sunburn - simply damaged skin by choice - which I dislike looking at - I see acres of damaged skin.

But as I said before again happy to disagree :). And I still don't want anymore 'go home' Queenslanders either... ;) So Whites out from a trading perspective IMO. :)

The plastic surgery industry must be pretty pleased with the push from entertainment media industries to popularize these ridiculous things, wouldn't be too surprised if this industry union offers music labels some extra cash to direct it into "fashion".
They are certainly interested in signing these types, it's not as if they don't have a massive group of artists to choose from to promote. Having "star quality" a "hook" is just BS they are products and the public will gradually like anything it becomes familiar with unless directly opposed, the general census on music is "I'll listen to anything" but then these are my faves.

Yes this really is how much is going on with this trade...

LOL! Yep got it in one KG... its interesting conversation in the absence of anything trade wise - particularly in relation to these arm/sleeve/major coverage of body tats - very different from the small single ones which used to be more common... although I did give it as a good reason ;) to knock back White... so sort of on topic!

White would be a really good back up ruck/forward incase sauce, jenkins, Smack, Johnston, Lynch and Walker all got injured. Then we could fit him in as a sub and get him on in the last 10 minutes when the game is done.

Thanks feenix - you've picked up on the confidentiality issue. Huntercrow and I have picked up on the potential ethical issue of Sydney apparently approaching Tippett prior to the finals series. I have a vague recollection that there was some talk that Blucher gaffed when he said there had been an August (?) meeting/discussion/contact with Sydney but then when he realised the implications of what he had said quickly insisted he didn't tell Tippett of the interest until after Adelaides finals campaign was over. (On public record? Have I got that right?) Hmn... then Tippett underperforms against Sydney...

There is certainly something not right here... employers investigate routinely on much less...

I'm glad others are thinking along this line. Might be tin foil hat time but listening to both Ireland and Chapman on the radio during the week gave me the impression that Sydney have us over a barrel with something. Got me thinking about the Armstrong/johnston trade last year which seemed like big overs for us at the time. Could Sydney have done that with an understanding that we'd owe them one in the future, all the time being aware that $kirt would be leaving us this year? Given the connections involved it wouldnt shock me in the slightest.

Is there a way to "unlike"? No way man.
