Then we will reasses. At this stage the club came out very early in this and said it was their (blucher/Tippett) insistence not ours that this idiot agreement be made.

My point is that they're not backing down, and Galbally is no fool?

Maybe there is more to it? After all its not like the club's statements have always been reliable in this matter

I'm of the understanding that if delisted prior to the second free agency period he can go to the Swans as a free agent. Sydney have already offered Tippet in excess of Adelaide's contract offer and Adelaide have already said that they cannot/wont match it.
Source? Changes everything if true, but by doing this he is effectively acting as a RFA, which sort of compromises the 8 year guideline that determines free agent status.

Its a good thing he missed the ND deadline. Reckon Sydney would have been a dead cert to take him at 23, GWS wouldn't bother at his price for a pick in the low teens (14?).
PSD is another story and I think they can put enough pressure on him to force him to comply.

Jesus, we look worse & worse

Now there's a 2nd secret letter?

And

Blucher is understood to have evidence that the original document, which could lead to the club being banned for up to four national drafts and heavily fined, was engineered by the Crows and not - as Adelaide officials have claimed - by Tippett's father, Tony, and Blucher.

It has also been alleged that Adelaide, in its attempt to re-sign Tippett, this year assured the player that it would not stand in his way when he became a restricted free agent at the end of 2014.
As well as offering Tippett a lucrative deal to remain at the club, the Crows are understood to have told Tippett they would not match the offer of a rival club in two years if he wished to leave. Fairfax Media could not confirm whether the offer was made in writing.

The part about agreeing not to match under RFA status suggests the dodgy rotten core of the club remains even after JR leaves

Unfortunately I can see Kurt getting to Sydney on an even bigger salary and us being completely screwed by the AFL.

What a mess.

This bit is interesting about the second letter.

Like the first hidden contract, it was signed by former Adelaide football boss John Reid under the letterhead of the Adelaide Football Club. The Crows' board only recently learnt of the letter's existence and has been told it was sent to Tippett and Blucher several days after the first letter. Reid has given the board and Adelaide's lawyers an explanation for the second and amended letter but the club last night refused to detail that explanation.

i'm sure that we have 2 vacancies on the main list (after Tippett is off) and that we only need to have 1 National Draft pick because Crouch & Callinan count as 2 of the 3 necessary minimum required ND picks. Consequently, no delisting is necessary unless we want to have 2 ND picks.

Crouch doesn't count as a necessary list change.
Yes he does, the AFL changed their original decision on that IIRC.
No, they just made it so he entered your list via trade. Prior to that you were gonna have to use a draft pick on him.

Juzzo - my apologies - it appears that you are correct according to the latest articles by Emma Quayle and Caro Wilson and hence AFC have to delist somebody.

That is a crazy outcome really and not in the interests of players.

But KT is friends for life with these guys, I'm sure he didn't mean to **** his team mates over and potentially make one of his biffles end up at a club they don't want to be at......

Just keeps getting better. Imbecilic is now too soft to describe-if proven true- the numbnuts in charge of the club in 09. Imagine if this had come out two years ago...we would be screwed as a club and our list would have been shot to pieces...that is the only brightside to the whole ballsup.

Tippet didn't realize he was breaking AFL regulations??? Did neither he or his manager (who should be well versed in AFL laws and regs) not think to check out the supposed offer with the players association beforehand???
So David Galbally QC will be defending his client by saying Kurt was totally innocent and the big bad AFC made him agree against his will to signing for an extra $200000 in payments and a promise to release him to the team of his choice at the end of his contract.................PFFFFFTTT:rolleyes:

According to The Age article Tambling is safe (must be for contractual reasons). Therefore, in the gun are Grigg, Joyce and Ellis-Yolmen. Club will re-draft of course, but which of these guys would we be willing to risk being picked up by another club? Joyce, for mine. I think Grigg will be a good player + Ellis-Yolmen is the most naturally gifted of the three.

dont see the players assosciation being happy about that, hope they keep that player in mind when it comes time for bluchers hearing.

I've posted to this thing 11 times? Wow. Serious contributor. All quality of course.

To my bros: OzSparrow, huludicidal, Mr_Moogle, Ratto, big78sam, SA_ROO11, BarneyBent, Centrered, 1990crow, Blue Red and Gold, PaulRoos, tinman...friends for life!
You do realise you've just left them in your wake, right? :p

It certainly sounds like Blucher is talking to Caro. What the hell were the Crows trying to achieve with the second letter? Were they seriously trying to get the genie back in the bottle?

Its my understanding that pleading ignorance is no defence. So how this will work will be interesting. If Tippett didnt know then he has shit advisors.

Didn't Sydney have to trade White to fit $kurt in at what they offered?

We are being screwed for not being able to delist him Thursday and needing to delist someone else.

Seems horribly unfair to me, particularly to an innocent player who has nothing to do with the sordid Tippettgate affair but will pay a hefty price in spite of that.

If it has to be someone, then IMO it has to be Joyce, who has shown the least of the 3 first year draftees uner the pump.
