A bit rich.

Hasn't even been the best player in a season before.

lolll yeah Bont’s no Matt Priddis mate

Thats... not relevant to anything that was said

Im clearly just using Bont as an example to the guy saying he wouldnt pay up for a 29 year old who could secure a premiership for a club thats right in contention

“Secure a premiership” haha c’mon, it’s Tom Barrass. He’s not remotely swinging the flag race just by switching clubs.

Reckon it’s a Risk for both clubs hopefully he stays at West Coast

He just wants his extra two years from the Eagles locked in before he injures his back again. If he comes at the right trade price for us it’d be nice to have him to take over from Jones, although the 5 years are a real risk with his spine.

Hopefully he gets the extra 2 years at West Coast and everyone can move on

Bont would be the best player at any club he theoretically got traded too, Barrass would not.

It is a tough position for the Eagles, while they aren’t pushing him out he’s definitely being shopped around behind closed doors.

Oh, here comes the perennially offended Dogs supporter, ready to fight the good fight whenever their club/player is mentioned on the D&T board

It was a joke about Matt Priddis, no need to crank up the Joy Division over it fella.

Picks 16 + 12 + 35 for one of the top few KPDs in the comp who might just get them a premiership(or another premiership if they win this year)

Thats not even overs lmao, considering hes contracted

Two 1sts and a 2nd seems unrealistic to me for a 29 year old KPD with known back issues, even if he’s been durable this year. That’s the sort of price you’d see for a mid career elite mid. But he’s a good player and a first would likely be involved if he did move.

The Judd trade was restricted by the limitations of the time.

If it happened today, far more would've been paid.

Also, WCE hold the whip hand with Barrass. Whilst the trade proposition may very well be overs, whoever wants to trade for Barrass will need to satisfy WCE for them to agree to give him up.
I would say his value is about pick 14, but if west coast demands more they will get more.

His back wont cause issues to his playing career, its just something he has to do exercises and stuff to deal with.

Going to a vic club and getting the benefits of significantly reducing travel load can only help his back

Barrass would go close to best at any club

Thats not the point of what I was saying anyway

Hes shopping himself around, he wants more money and 2 more years

His back clearly has presented 0 issues to his playing ability.

KPDs have generally been at a premium compared to mids

Elite KPDs arent gettable every year, and hes a guy who would walk into and improve every single club

Wasnt Tom Barrass inside top 50 earners in 2023?? how is that underpaying him? for a team struggling as they have last few years.
He wasn't underpaid as part of his contract, his form's just greatly improved and his manager clearly didn't negotiate flexibility in the contract for him to earn more.

His contract is fine for his performance when he signed it, he's just gone to another level is all.

Can see no chance in Hell WC push him out and then pay a chunk of his salary.

It's not like he's on huge coin anyway.
If it moved a pick 14 to pick 10 id be very surprised if they didnt pay some of his salary. It would be negligent not to especially when we arent exactly strugglign to fit everybody in

Pretty sure he won't get the CBA 30% increase as well.
