he has now taken the title of best forward in the AFL, in comparison to franklin he is capable of much more things, can take contested marks which franklin isnt skilled enough to do in an aerial, and most importantly, he stands up in big games and doesnt choke like franklin

personally i dont rate franklin up there as one of the best because there are just too many KP boxes he doesnt tick like contested work and handling pressure, but the general public for some reason do, why is baffling thought, may as well compare him to stephen milne

hawkins is clear ontop of the coleman by 4 goals now, most marks inside 50, most contested marks,

at the present is a lock in for AA

AA forward line- in hawkins, out franklin/ cloke

Won't make the AA team, but about time the fat lump of shit did something

well unless i have the system wrong, the best forwards make the AA forward line, and Hawkins is 4 clear on the coleman and number one for marks inside 50 and contested marks

is a shoe in on current form

formula for AA team is best player in position, best KPF= Tom hawkins

Saw 3 of Hawks goals tonight..

1) a decent catch in the wet, kick from Pods put it right to his advantage did well to hold on...

2) Ball spewed out of a pack and was probably going through for a goal before Hawk chip scabbed it..

3) good contested mark 60m from goal, bullshit 50m penalty resulting in a soda that even Tomma couldn't miss..

Its April and you just played Brisbane. Settle down flog.

So you saw half his goals dip shit. He kicked six, in a monsoon. It doesn't matter if you only saw 3 goals because the stats sheet records all six goals and anyone who had some actual football knowledge would recognise that as being a great effort in the conditions.

number two on your list is a rarity for hawkins, but is about 50% of lance franklins goals he kicks lol, cheap cherry pickers out the back is lances specialty

hawkins speciality is contested marks, franklins speciality is cherry picking out the back of the pack

If Daniel Merritt was wearing the navy hoops he would have kicked the 3 that I saw, that's all I'm saying...

*******!

How'd Fatty Hawkins go against North and Fremantle?

Franklin's done it since 07. Hawkins has had about 3 decent games.

4 goals against north melbourne, 4 against fremantle

not sure where you have been of late, but go get a copy of the 2011 grand final and watch a key forward do something franklin cant do, take contested marks in a big game

bckcats just sit back and laugh at the irony of a hawthorn supporter pointing out a cheap goal over the back when they have lance franklin up forward

Hawkins has kicked around 125 goals in 85 games. Franklin nearly kicked that in one year. Come back once Fatty Hawkins can get past 34 goals in a season, haha.

Hawkins has taken 4 more contested marks than Franklin from one extra game...

WOW... thats massive!!

Brilliant argument. If Jesse Stringer played for Hawthorn he'd be their best player and perform far better in big games than Frnaklin and Rioli combined.

Holy shit, four more from one extra game? Wonder if Fatty Hawkins will get past 34 goals this year? After 84 games you'd expect better from a KPF.

kicked 100 in 08 and has been on the decline ever since, is nothing more then just a good 55-80 goal kicker at absolute best now, more realistically going to be around the 60 mark for the rest of his career, defenders just have figured him out now, is predictable, cant kick on his right foot, always runs to the same spots, and isnt talented enough to mark over his head

Hawkins has fully developed now and coming into his prime, has officially taken the mantle of best KPF in the afl

yes in 2008 franklin had the wood over him, but not anymore and from now on :)

the era of the tomahawk and a real marking KPF begins

Well, it is a pretty good argument 6 goals for a key forward in monsoon on paper looks amazing, but in reality what I saw Hawk was just very lucky (I did give him credit for a good grab in the wet from one of his goals)

You really haven't improved on BF... Failed at picking a username... and failing at posting
