Interesting how much we Upped our Offer for Him?
I don’t think we did td, sometime being with your mates and a good team, makes a difference.

Always loved how this bloke puts his head in the hole and takes his marks.
Good 1 on 1 DEF who can play tall but really as a 3rd tall excels and even gave robbie gray a bath at the G late in the H&A.
The only thing I disliked about langers was his decision making when kicking and trying to pull of kicks he just isn't capable of doing (switches where the reliving player isn't in much space or kicks on the 45 inboard) and I thought from the mid point of the year he really tidied this up and took safer options and became an awesome and really important player for us.

In my opinion, he should have left. Bunch of so called supporters of Collingwood that have never shown this kid any support despite his relatively excellent career to date.

Very happy with the news though, I love the guy.

So you'd be happy for him to leave to stick it up a few random forum posters? Out of a millions fans/supporters...

dont need Beams

Pies need a tall tough defender like a McGovern role... and a tall big play making forward like Roughhead and they will win the flag... and oh.. a healthy team

GWS having a fire sale atm due to cap pressure.

Might of been able to secure Patton and Scully instead of Beams imo overall that improves us much more.

The word around the boards is May is most likely set for Dees.
Beams vs Scully is very diff footballers but both guns imo. Scully much harder worker both ways but Beams better offensively.
Hawks looking at Scully for pick 53...fair dinkum.

Stops the revolving door in our backline. Gives us a bit of stability with Maynard, Langdon, Crisp , Howe all still there. Just need to secure those two kdp
Hopefully Dunn and Moore get their bodies right. Will be a really solid backline if Moore can become the player we hope.

What a fan-boy post.

Pathetic.

Those with footy nuance, have quite clearly acknowledged his last 6-7 games of the season as being excellent. Including a wonderful Grand Final.

But you keep being a bleeding heart about how you were 'right' all along, what a genius......:drunk:

Yep backline is looking good, just relies on Dunn to be healthy and one of Moore/Schaz to also be healthy

Yep. A lot of great stories came out of the Pies this year. The flankers up forward were exciting and justifiably feted, but I think the defensive flankers were a revelation: Crisp, Howe, Langdon and Maynard are going to be an awesome unit for a next few years.

You cannot actually be comparing Scully and Beams.

One is a quality role player, top ten on list type, while the other is one of the best players in the league.

Standalone, I'd take either, because they're both good players, but if it was one or the other, Scully isnt even in the conversation. Yes, pick 53 would be unders for Scully. But Beams will cost more in a trade because he is simply a far better player.

I’m so happy he is staying, when everyone went down from R15-19 this season he held that defence together and ensured we finished top 4 and on top of that he had an amazing finals series and was our best player on GF day.

I want players at Collingwood who rise to the occasion and this kid did that this season without a doubt!

I’d also like to add that our defence was great in our last 6/7 games and keeping that backline together is much more important than any signing this club could make this off season. Continuity is vital for a backline and keeping Langdon gives us that.

If Moore and Dunn can stay fit next season there’s no need for another defender.

I’d also like to add I’d have Moore and Langdon over just May alone (I also love us to still sign May, but that’s totally unrealistic).

Pity Hine isn't in charge now otherwise I could post "Hines means Beams!":drunk:
LOL. That's shocking
I was going to say you're an idiot but I won't.
Much like your walking mexican fish or whatever the hell it was I have learned that you're not allowed to call someone an idiot on BF.
Even if you are one. And you know you are one OS. Let's not kid ourselves.
Draft week hugs.

Meh go away Langdon
Are you making a joke or trying to get a rise out of people? If you make such a comment you must back it up with reasons! Langdon was a great player in the finals including the GF and has demonstrated great loyalty. So why do you disrespect him?
