I think it's clearly a long shot he returns to the best 22.

Many people forget in 2023 he actually didn't have a great year, just finished strongly in the finals. Turning 32 and a lot of the past 12 months has been recovering from foot injuries. A premiership contender needs to have younger players taking the spots of guys like him

Had a very good year apart from a patch of 4-5 weeks late in the season proper where he was playing a bit banged up.
