any thoughts on who will win this years domestic player of the year? keep in mind it only counts the 2009 calendar year.

Rogers:

SS: 990 runs @ 66
FR: 443 runs @ 40.27

Klinger:

SS: 952 runs @ 73.23
FR: 266 runs @ 33.25

Bailey:

SS: 880 runs @ 55
FR: 411 runs @ 51.37

Rogers would get it based on statistics alone. The spread of wickets is interesting, not many bowlers stand out. I was flicking through them but the leading wicket takers in the shield looked like George, Cutting and Hastings with about 30 each. I guess with all the injuries, a lot of the guys that would usually be carving up domestic cricket have been playing for Australia.

Hodge

SS: 834 runs @ 83.40
FR: 375 runs @ 41.66
T20: 335 runs @ 41.87

Bailey and Rogers both scored more in the other two comps so would be stiff if Hodge won IMO but he would be thereabouts.

BTW did they have official nominations? I couldn't find any around the place.
