Thought Goodes did most of his good work when the game was over. Lake and Gibson were better than Stratton as well

AFLW 2024 - Round 8 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Sorry to say but you obviously haven't watched many Crows games if you have Thompson in the Top 50 and Dangerfield not in the top 50.
I've seen your games against Essendon, Brisbane, PA, Carlton and Hawthorn.
Here is how I ranked Thompson for his games:
Rd 1 - 5
Rd 2 - 7
Rd 3 - 5
Rd 4 - 7
Rd 5 - 5
Rd 6 - 6
Rd 7 - 7
Total = 42 points over 7 games
Here is how I ranked Dangerfield for his games:
Rd 1 - 2 (17 touches, no goals)
Rd 2 - 7
Rd 3 - 4 (20 touches, no goals)
Rd 4 - 8
Rd 5 - 4 (20 touches, 1 goal)
Rd 6 - 9
Rd 7 - 8
Total = 42 points over 7 games
Basically they are rated about the same because Thompson has been more consistent even though he hasn't received any 8s or 9s (which Dangerfield has received 3 of).
Well dangerfield is equal top in the aflca voting so he probably should squeeze into the top 50

It's an interesting way of doing a top 50 but I like it, gives us footy nerds to look at each week, good work
Have not seen all of his games this season but Ryan Griffen seems extremely underrated.
1 question I have is how come all 22 players aren't given points or ranked? Like Spangher, Simpkin, Duryea and Puopolo for Hawthorn you haven't included
Going for a top 50.
So the only one I missed that would be in calculations would be Puopolo.
Who I'd give probably a 3 as he was reasonably involved when he came on as a sub.
Players like Spangher, Simpkin and Duryea I've adjudged as being so unlikely to impact on my top 50 that I don't rank them.
Make sense?
