Sorry to say but you obviously haven't watched many Crows games if you have Thompson in the Top 50 and Dangerfield not in the top 50.

I've seen your games against Essendon, Brisbane, PA, Carlton and Hawthorn.
Here is how I ranked Thompson for his games:
Rd 1 - 5
Rd 2 - 7
Rd 3 - 5
Rd 4 - 7
Rd 5 - 5
Rd 6 - 6
Rd 7 - 7
Total = 42 points over 7 games

Here is how I ranked Dangerfield for his games:
Rd 1 - 2 (17 touches, no goals)
Rd 2 - 7
Rd 3 - 4 (20 touches, no goals)
Rd 4 - 8
Rd 5 - 4 (20 touches, 1 goal)
Rd 6 - 9
Rd 7 - 8
Total = 42 points over 7 games

Basically they are rated about the same because Thompson has been more consistent even though he hasn't received any 8s or 9s (which Dangerfield has received 3 of).

Well dangerfield is equal top in the aflca voting so he probably should squeeze into the top 50 o_O

Because like most awards they only rate the top games of players not the poor ones, they don't rate players on consistency

I think this'll make you happy mattsk88.
Here is my top 50 after round 7:
top50-round-7.jpg

When you are contemplating some of the biggest movers this week you should be aware that there is a big clump of players on a very similar average between 20-50. So not much is separating them. Hence if they have a good game (or even merely a better game than those around them) they may jump up quite an amount. I anticipate this will balance out a lot after the halfway mark of the season (as it does every year) and the movements will become smaller.
I have also increased the number of players in the unlucky section so you can get a good idea of where players from your team are sitting at the moment. They move from left to right then down in order of how close they are to the top 50 (but Petrie for instance is on the same score as Swallow ATM) so don't read too much between the teams.
As always criticism is welcome and I take every comment made on board to some extent (even if I don't respond to you directly).

Have not seen all of his games this season but Ryan Griffen seems extremely underrated.

Ryan Griffen has a score of 30pts from 5 games.
Which gives him an average of 6pts a game.
So if he hadn't missed those two games he'd be between 30-40 on this list.
ATM I left him out but another big game will see him into the top 50.
Just a fact of missing two games of seven is the only thing keeping him out of the top 50 ATM.

1 question I have is how come all 22 players aren't given points or ranked? Like Spangher, Simpkin, Duryea and Puopolo for Hawthorn you haven't included

Going for a top 50.
So the only one I missed that would be in calculations would be Puopolo.
Who I'd give probably a 3 as he was reasonably involved when he came on as a sub.
Players like Spangher, Simpkin and Duryea I've adjudged as being so unlikely to impact on my top 50 that I don't rank them.
Make sense?
