Trac wants out

Melbourne is having a mass exodus this year it seems, I'm cool with it.

It's expected, if the culprits of that club isn't leaving then good players will go.

The captain has a lot of blame, steve may is another one of those with issue as he is the leader of the rat pack.

Then there is the coach.

President couldn't even be bothered to vistit their most influential player who nearly died.

Why couldn't she just say 'yes, christian has asked about the possibility of a move, but we're still trying to reach a resolution and understand his grievances but we intend to be keeping Christian to his contract. He's a professional athlete and he will have pride in his performance' or something like that.

Seems like they really believe if they don’t publicly acknowledge what’s happening people will move on.

It seemed like a pretty minor story a week ago and now it’s a raging inferno.

Dude - READ THE THREAD

Especially post 268 and 269.

This has all been covered. You are pushing STALE news.
Like when the AFL found Melbourne "not guilty" of tanking so Melbourne didn't lose their pokies license?

AFL always finds a way to protect itself and it's interests.

Who's pushing stuff about tanking?

At 28 he’s in an awkward spot. Richmond would be a good trade fit - holding Tom Lynch and pick 1 gives them the assets. Hard to see Trac being young enough for their rebuild though. At 26 it would have been perfect.

I don’t see why Harry Mac would entertain Melbourne when Carlton are on the up and no other big Melb club has the currency except maybe Dons but Trac apparently doesn’t want to go there.
Carlton on the up??

Going from 5th to 8th is sliding.

Harry should get out before they go back to the cellar.

O please. Without many of their key players for the last few weeks. Would have finished 2nd in all probability if they hadn’t had the injuries at the wrong time. I get it’s hard to watch when you miss out but they are playing finals and your team …. well, there’s always spring carnival to look forward to around the corner.

You got the job 👏

It's pretty simple isn't it?

He signed a contract for X years and wants out. Fine, both sides agree to cancel the contract and he can go to one of his desired clubs, most likely with a massive paycut. If playing in front of big crowds is so important, take the paycut so one of those clubs can fit you in their salary cap. Otherwise shut up, and continue getting paid squillions to kick a piece of leather around, admittedly with the risk of getting life threatening injuries

Ah, but that’s simple logic - it doesn’t sit with the greed and ego drivers of football players and football clubs.

Be nice if things were that simple.
