Fair call but they have given themselves a good chance. 7 Prelims in the past 10 years is reasonable return albeit without the ultimate prize. I think most clubs would be happy with that level of consistency. Might also drive them crazy that they come so close yet so far.

Collingwood says hello.

I accidentally left out the Board, they need to go too, and any other parasite that thinks getting wealthy by doing nothing realistic is fun
Board members don’t get paid, Einstein.

I do know that and neither does Eddie....but smart folk can do smart things and no one is privy to the books

Moore is the best CHB in the league, let him settle there and do what he does best.

I'm not against McDonald if the wages are right, however it would be at the expense of Roughead.

Letting Cox walk for nothing doesnt really strengthen our hand

Personally I’ve always been a proponent of playing Moore as a defender.

However we just don’t score enough and since I dont see us getting a decent key forward via trade or draft, I think the team needs him forward more than we need him back.

Obviously you can take it with a grain of salt but Rendall again said on Trade radio that Moore could easily be a top 3 key forward in the league.

McDonald, whilst nowhere near Moore as a CHB would be a decent replacement. Particularly if Howe gets back to play as that intercept marker.

I also dont see Cox as having any decent trade value. But he sure as hell has a decent contract. Essentially we would look to salary dump his contract to bring in Hogan in my proposal.

Geelong replace their bottom 3 players in best 22 with Cameron, Higgins and Smith.

Meanwhile we look like losing Treloar, Phillips, Thomas and Cox.
And adding ????

I think it's officially rebuild time.

Geelong are obviously throwing the kitchen sink at the playing list to give Selwood, Hawkins Dangerfield et al every chance of winning a flag before they fall off the cliff.

Prudent management of their cap as players willing to sign for unders driven by 'lifestyle' choices down Geelong way, and that they played in the GF so players like Smith can snare another flag before the end of their career.

However, you could argue that coming off a year where Henderson, Hawkins etc came of career best years, and an injury free run their tilt at the flag this year their is massive risk that if it doesn't pay off they will be out of the 8 for years once the high end talent retire.

Liked you response until the be an adult bit. Not really necessary IMO.
I hope Scribe26 never expresses disappointment or criticism of the team, recruiting, an individual player or coaching tactics in the future. Surely that would be categorized as childish. In fact, this whole forum is probably a platform for immature thoughts and childish commentary. It should be taken down.

Yeah my thoughts as well, Tom can also go forward he isn't a bad kick and can take a contested mark.

Still better than our record. How's our past 9 seasons looking now?

I do love it when posters pick an arbitrary time line that suits their argument. Extend that to include 2010 and how do they stack up in terms of GF’s played and won?

LOL, we apparently just tabled a bigger offer to Cameron than the Cats yet apparently we can’t afford anyone. Every team is off-loading players to try and improve their lists, why are we any different?
No coincidence that news of trying to ditch Treloar came out at the same time
