Why would the Suns get rid of Wright?

I like that deal, particularly Duncan with Wright, however I agree Suns won't give up Wright for two picks, they need players to get them on track. (I'm not good at this stuff, but would pick 9 and Honey be a better deal for them?)

Doubtful if last night is an indicator. Simpson is a truck and Mummy is getting old and injury prone. Downie retired (not that he was much chop) and Flynn is a baby. They actually have little in the way of ruckmen on their list moving into 2018/2019.

Why do most people overrate draft picks ? Anything less than a top 5 pick and the club has not done its job properly. People spitting around pick 10-20 obviously have vested interests in the clubs being linked to him.

While I agree he won't leave because of his young Girls.

But a big $6-8 million deal would make him think, set him and his family up for life, would be very hard to say no.

Now don't say there is no way anyone offers him that kind of money, because there will be someone willing to take that chance.

They can throw a shit ton of money at him but given where salary caps are getting too it will get to the point living in the GC can't be bought. I could double my salary by going to the GC and have been asked to do so by my company twice but I hate the shithole. Lynch has been there a number of years and may be over it enough that going from $1mill a year to $2mill as the AFL love child simply isn't worth it. I'd do Melb for a $10mill buddy deal rather than GC for $15 if I was him.....

I agree, Lobb is by far a better contested mark than both Stringer and Hall. It's obvious Lobb has been playing out of position this year and is by far a more dangerous player in the forward half of the ground.

To give you an idea in their last seasons, Lobb (2017) averages 2.3 contested marks a game and 1.0 inside 50. Last year when he played more forward 2.5 and 1.3. These exceed Camerons'.

Stringer (2017) is 0.5 and 1.4 which is an improvement on last year and Hall in 2011 (who barely ventured past the centre) 1.2 and 3.5.

Lobb resisted the temptation to move home to WA in 2015 and signed a 2 year extension last year, or this year - can't remember. Think if he's prized away from GWS it'll be to go home.
