I would still throw 2 years at Kennedy (WCE) who can then move to a coaching role. Don't know if he'd be interested but he'd be a perfect fill in for Bruce.
This!!! Still unsigned too surely somethings up, I’d throw him 4 years to get it done tbh - 1 year playing with clauses for a 2nd and then 2 or 3 coaching. He is exactly what our young talls need around the club

Don’t believe we need a KPF next year. Bruce is out till July ish and will be missed but another preseason and JUH plays 10-15 games next year. Bedendo will also play some games. Darcy we shouldn’t count on playing more than 2 games.

Weightman English JUH
Hannan/Bedendo Naughty VDM/McNeil

Of course this assumes we get a ruck - if not maybe. Lots of talk here about Hayes - seems OK but little evidence he is a step up. We were speaking originally about CCJ and Mabior Chol - with Soldo coming back they may see the options shrinking. Older players for a year or two who are available are Callum Sinclair and Archie Smith - Zac Smith also could do a mummy and come back from the dead. Maybe we go SANFL/WAFL - who is standing out? Or do we develop Young?

KPD appears to be covered but not star quality other then Keath. Tarrant could barely play for Nth this year so would be a big risk. He would be great if he plays but that is a big if. Is Krueger still an option?

Schache training the whole preseason will give us something - he was very good for someone without development time.

EAGLES SPEARHEAD WEIGHING UP NEXT MOVE

DUAL Coleman medallist Josh Kennedy is weighing up a one-year offer from West Coast to play on in 2022.

The Eagles have made it known to Kennedy they want him to continue next season for a 17th campaign.

The 33-year-old, who last month told Perth's 6PR he was keen to play on, has taken some time out in recent days with family to discuss his next move.
Will be talking retirement or playing another season. I don't see him going to another club if he can play another year at Eagles.

Darcy Fort any good?

Why would anyone wanna live in sunny, lockdown free Perth tho when they can live in beautiful Melbourne, so long as he finds a place 5km from WO so he can come to work

Think we’ll regret losing Lipinski.
Good luck to the young man. Disappointing that Beveridge plays favourites.
I calling BS on this favourites crap

this isn’t the under 10s all coaches pick players who do the right things and suit the teams game. Unfortunately for Lipinski he lakes pace and has others ahead of him. He has had plenty of chances

not sure what you think playing favourites is, I’m sure he doesn’t pick them cause they washed his car or brought him an apple

Dunkley, Vandermeer, Scott, Rourke, McNeil, or any number of underperforming players that seemingly get endless chances.

I ask the question had Lipinski been given the same run of games as someone like Gardner would he not have been better off? Instead he was banished never to be seen again. Disappointing but I guess we'll find out at his next club.
I think you will find he played many more than Gardiner

it’s simply wrong to say he wasn’t given a chance

and btw he had a contract from the Dogs on the table so if he leaves it’s his choice

Yes it's his choice because he wasn't given a clear run at it when Dunkley and Treloar went down. Hence not enough of a chance.
Call all the Bullshit you want but it's pretty obvious to most. Hey if he wins us a few more flags I doubt many will care.

Brucey won’t be coming back next season and if he does, he won’t be setting the world on fire.
If we can’t land a ruckman, we should be all in on Kennedy for a year. English then rucks.

I’m back to Hayes. Port have invested all the time into him and he’s ready to go. Silly bugger signed an extension to 2023 but I bet he’d be keen to come if he was our #1 ruck. Martin stays on the list to develop him and English and we are good to go. He’s not perfect but I think he is more agile than some on here and he gets around the ground ok. Certainly no worse than say Minson was who gave us a good couple of seasons. With Darcy in we would have a bloody decent list built and could just target upgrades for a couple of years.

He did indeed have his opportunities and wasn't playing to the likes of the coaches. It's not like the dogs are wanting to trade him as he has a contract offer from the club.

Lipinski has been given plenty of opportunities to nail his spot for good. Clearly he hasn't been able to for whatever reason.

The whole thing about the coach playing favourites...is there a coach that doesn't? We've played 40 odd players this year, so that's the definition of everyone getting a chance. Plenty have nailed their spots.

Lipinski can either back himself to force
his way in or take the cash go to a bottom club and maybe walk into the side (no guarantees and what if that sides kids pass him and he again ends up on the fringe?). That's his choice.

Who is our back up ruck though? Naughton, JJK or JUH cannot play in the ruck so relying on English to more or less ruck the entire game is a recipe for disaster and not something I want to see.

If any mid had not quite had the opportunities they should have, I'd argue it's West more than Lipinski.

Hi guys, haven't read your whole thread so you may have answered this already, but what do you think will be your best offers for your first rounder?

On the assumption you'd trade it for multiple later picks for draft points for Darcy.

A couple of second rounders would probably get it done mate. How you looking for picks?

We have little in the way of actual informed knowledge, but many of us assume that'd be Brisbane. Ashcroft's kid (2022) is very highly rated, so we may be able to get Brisbane's future 1st + points this year out of our 1st

We have two second rounders at this stage.

This gives you a minor points bump, think you'll probably be able to find more value at this stage unless we can get another earlier second rounder in via trade.

EDIT: Looking at indicative order Adelaide (23 and 37) Hawthorn (20 and 24 - best offer, but might be too much for Hawks to move up only 5 spots) Richmond (26 and 28) and Geelong (30 and 32) can both offer you more value if they wanted to move up.
