Apologies if this has already been mentioned - Tom Morris on Fox said the deal for 17 is essentially agreed to with the Crows. Are we thinking it’s 17 and our 60s picks for 23, 37 & 44?

How much would that give us points wise? Would it cover a bid at number one?

Something like that but apparently they only will if the swans accept 17 for Dawson, which they’ve declined.

Malthouse used to just have Alec Gardiner and Wayne Walsh in the box when he coached us. I reckon Bevo can do it with Rohan Smith

Not absolutely sure mate but I think he may have been for a short period. Not sure though. My over dramatic outburst was more based on what Ive heard from his tenure at blueland.Of course, I will be delirious to be proven otherwise.

I hadn't heard the personal relationship rumour. I've no knowledge either way about his skills as a coach except he seems a bit unfocused.
One thing for sure our admin has been so diabolical for so long it would be a tough place to be good at your job.

Yeah. Thats fair. As Ive said my sources are very passionate carlton people who are quite rightly disgruntled. But ive heard him speak thru interviews with my own ears- colour me unimpressed.

Don't have an issue with Lewy leaving per se, but it's pretty disappointing if you go back and watch his first game to see where we are now - genuinely looked like he could be a superstar

1st 3 very good, next 3 makes you wonder why Cordy and Gardner have copped so much flack. Seems good at the intercept stuff but not as flash at 1 on 1. May still turn out a decent player but so could Darcy. Can’t pay everyone what they want.

Is there any reason Ladhams or other talented rucks aren’t kicking down the door to want to get here?

Even the worst player manager in the land would recognise what the Bulldogs are looking for.

With our list demographic, midfield, recent GF appearance and a big fat hole where the ruck position should be, we should be beating the Lynch’s, Ladhams etc away with a stick.

Wonder if the way we have treated some rucks over the years might be bit of a red flag. But yeah you would think some like Ladhams with a bit of upside would back themselves in to grab the #1 spot of a top tier team. We should be very attractive right now.

Was forwards coach at Saints for 2 years under Lyon before jumping back to Hawks. Saints didn't seem too worried about losing him.
Was forwards coach at Hawks for 2 years before coming to us. Hawks also didn't seem to fussed about losing him. There's also a thread on the Hawks board from the time that got stuck into him about their forward line being a shambles.
He's coached just about every line at the Blues, and whatever one he touches seems to go backwards. 10-11 years with us was deemed far too long by most, and fairly certain he jumped before he was pushed.
Always spoken about as a great bloke though.

I hope for your sake you don't get him, but if you do, I hope Bevo can turn him around. I don't have any ill will towards him, but glad to see the back of him.

As for the previous post by someone about him having it in for a player that was seeing his daughter. I've heard similar, but the issue with the rumour is that I heard it was Liam Stocker, who has a longterm girlfriend and it isn't Barker's daughter.
