With less than 24 hours to go and Bears still been difficult time to revisit a Veal deal scenario

Power start talking to North about a deal to ensure we make sure Dunks gets to PSD and they pick him.

Say the above agreement with a late 3 Rd round pick for Hunter and we cover some of his $

Sell it to North they would be the biggest winners of the draft period in the history of it

Dunkley Hunter pick 2 3 Logue Tucker

Cunning enough plan?

Not a fan of paying much of Hunters salary if any but love the end result. Dunkley ends up on same team as Hunter again.

*ing love this. Really like Bruce as a player and at his best is a lock in the forward line, if he can get back there but will likely have to be lighter like he was in 2021. If he plays defence he could probably afford to put on a bit of bulk.

Slim him down and put him at FB. As long as he does the entire preseason next to Liam and Ryan so they form some chemistry I’m all for that. I know he was average as a backman at GWS but that was a long time ago. Can read the ball and can get it to ground. Just compete big fella.

Agree….. Why on earth would we ever be considering including pick 11 in any deal involving Lobb and/or Dunkley? Has Cooney not heard the club being fairly insistent on getting two first round picks for Dunkley, so he thinks we will be happy to go from that to getting one future first and actually giving up a first…… and somehow that first ends up at Sydney in his deal along with Aaron Francis with Sydney giving up 17 and something else….. right so Sydney somehow manage to move up 6 places from 17 to 11 for what exactly? What are they giving up to justify that increase? Did Cooney just get tired by the end of trying to work this out and just give up what a fu*king moron

Speedy 191cm wingman (who can also play forward or back) and is a good mark. Would slot in nicely with Callaghan, help rejuvenate the midfield.

Unlikely to break into that Melbourne team.

If O'Meara, Wingard and Mitchell all leave the Hawks today it just caps off an awful trading period for them over the past 6 or so years. Mitchell as a Brownlow winner would be considered a success but there are so many trades which haven't worked out for them at all (plus Scully, Patton, Henderson, Phillips etc).

These deals always get lauded at trade time but it's not always a bad thing that we aren't a big 'destination' club that misses out on shiney new toys.

2021 Bruce and Naughty with the addition of Jamarrah is an insanely good tall forward mix. Obviously a big if though.

They’d surely want more and be within their rights. It could get a win out of the Brisbane trade if we get him with 21 on traded.

Wingard is not worth a second round pick. Pick 39 is about his maximum value, more like pick 50 something.

When a guy is getting shown the door and not been 100% committed to being the best he can be, I am not sure why we want him. 6 years ago he was committed and great. Now not so much.

We should let others chase him and draft someone who better suits our list.

He is the type of player our list desperately needs a silky half forward who can kick goals? It’s always go to the draft look at out track record of drafting half forward it’s almost deplorable
