Bevo giving Andrew Dunkley a little whack has just poured fuel on the bigfooty Ostrich-post fires in my mind, sorry mods.

What did he say?

Enjoy Brissy. I'm sure Fagan and Zorko are real professionals in every way...that'll make Dad happy. Excellent standards and excellent humans 😂

That early days Andrew told Bev that he wasnt giving Josh enough opportunities.

Just shows what an entitled w***** Andrew Dunkley is.

Again refer back to the Open Mike interview for an insight into him.

Don't let the door hit you all on the way out.

Who are our best 1:1 competitors? When we see a 1:1 contest on the wing, backline, forward of centre ... who do we hope is there for the dogs?
TBH ... struggling, once the ball leaves the centre square. Can anyone help me with who are strong 1:1 competitors on the wing, down back and in the forward 50?

It’s one of our biggest weaknesses. Too many in the 22 that don’t win the contest.

Duryea is the only one who really comes to mind down back - one of our few defensively-minded defenders.

Despite popular belief, Dunkley winning the BnF has absolutely no effect on his trade value. That's not how the real world works. All it does is add insult to injury for our poor little club. These are dark days, lads.
This just isn’t true.

AAs are a good example. They’re not rated highly by insiders but having a few changes the perception of you as a player and does show that you can put together a good season in your position.

There is some objectivity in the demonstration of your value if you win a bnf - less room for argument about quality and consistency. Note that the idea that it doesn’t have any value is prefaced by people involved in negotiations both having a shared view of player value and willing to be transparent and reasonable. The fact is that they aren’t and an award like this forces the discussion to more shared ground.

In all this Dunkley to Brisbane furore, has anyone spared a thought for Ramzy Nawzar? Over 5 years of stylist work now up in the air
With Josh on &750k, I'm thinking Brissie might have managed to squeeze Ramzy into the deal.

Maybe that's our culture issue, too much on Myotherapists, not enough on stylists. The clues were all there.Bevo rocking that 'tache all year. How did we not see it?

"He told the Herald Sun at the TAB Spring Racing launch...

This is the real tell. I doubt that he was at the launch out of the goodness of his heart or an abiding interest in the nags.

Oh, well.
Brisbane players, of course, famously snag roles as Melbourne Cup ambassadors.

Enjoy promoting the Ipswich Greyhound Racing next year, Dunks.

We won’t walk him to the PSD we’ll both do what’s in our best interests, it’s definitely not in Brissys best interest to not satisfy us & risk losing their big name signing over 200-300 points (pick 50+) - they’ll deal with us, if we need to find another few hundred points to get it over the line we will.

Point being it’s in both of our best interests to work with each other whether that’s for 7 & 15 or 15, 19 & next years first if they don’t end up with 7 (which I doubt they will) it’s not a scenario where they’re just dealing to the highest bidder because they want our player
Yeah that's fair enough, if we offer close the same points value we'd have some leverage to get it done. Winning the B&F just added a bit more leverage too!

I think Dunks did a Bradbury this year, Bont and a few others were all carrying injuries and or missed games, where he was Mr Consistent. He is or was, Bevo’s pet though.

Fancy demanding Dunks get more games when he wins a premiership in his first year
