I struggle to understand even now that Stringer is one of ours, but Shiel in an Essendon guernsey would just never compute for my brain. He would appear on the field with a loading screen.

Consider it a bullet dodged. Ross is extremely underwhelming.

He's basically what everyone thinks Tom Mitchell is. Difference is Tom Mitchell is a play maker who a sides ball movement can be based on and Ross can't use the ball.

Is McGovern leaving West Coast? Is he Free agent?

I was fantasising of having KPDs of Hurley, McGovern and Francis and KPFs of Daniher, Hooker and Stringer. We then have Brown, Stewart and Hartley as depth. Plus Draper should be better and be capable to be genuine depth for Bellchambers.

If Sheil came as well somehow then our midfield is complete.

That would be an amazing offseason and following on from the back half of this year see the bombers as genuine contenders.

How does one facilitate a trade like this though? Bearing in mind, we traded our first last year so are required to take two 1st rounders in the next 3 years unless we become adventurous and trade out currency for a first round selection.

We do have a stack of young currency in the backline with Ridley, Thatcher, Redman. With Fletcher to come we’ll have an abundance. Not that I’d like to lose any of them as I rate them all.
