No Tim Kelly and no Ablett is probs where that cash comes from 🤷‍♂️

Taylor just retired so that probably frees up around 500k on himself alone.

Geelong are renowned for player's taking big paycuts for the greater good.

No to Lonie he’s as soft as butter.

Get stoddart and Ronke for cheap picks.
Wright, Caldwell and Dunkley and a first rounder I’m happy.

Don't think soft is the right word for Lonie, he is willing to take a hit. It is just that he plays for free kicks way too much, would fit in at Geelong or West Coast.

If its any of Savage, Lonie or Webster, its not going to really cost you anything.

If it is Ross I would be pretty filthy if we let him go cheaply. If we can only have one, I'd prefer him over Crouch to be honest due to his durability.

He's a better player than Saad IMO, but he really just seems like more if what you've already got. He makes no sense for you guys to be honest.

6 for 14, Clark and constable

Geelong get access to bruhn and a late pick
Cost for moving up is 2 fringe kids

7, 8 and 14 and we replace Saad and another inside mid (and doesn't make dunkley such a do or die prospect)

7 on Reid to get some KPD depth
8 on cox for KPP for either end
14 on Perkins as a hff/wing/mid
Raz pick on callow, treacy or ford

Ins: Caldwell, constable, Clark, Reid, cox, Perkins, callow, brand, Eyre, 2x Rookies
Out: raz, daniher, Saad.

Was reported Ross was spotted touring the facilities during the week, would seem he’s the most likely.

Especially with Brad Crouch coming in, even less opportunity for him.

I think Lyon started that on SEN. The next day, Tim Watson said he’d got a text from Seb Ross to say “Tell Lyon that he needs to get better sources”

Would solve our small forward shortage. Good age and shouldn't cost too much.

Do we have a small forward shortage? Walla is durable enough, Cahill will continue to develop, and the club will give Mosquito every chance.

2 problems with this
1. You haven't given up anything for Caldwell.
2. We would have all of Jones, Bryan, Crauford, McBride, Brand, Eyre, Reid and Cox at beginner stage as KP (plus BZT a little ahead).Too many. And some of them are going to have their development stunted by not being able to play KP in the VFL

He did a calf which delayed him 6 weeks. May not have happened at Sydney, though that doesnt necessarily mean it is Essendons fault he did it.

May not have happened at Sydney. Yep may not have. He may have done a hammy like Buddy.

I think another small forward would be a smart move. Just for the short term

I know that BrunoV has picked up on little agility and athletic prowess Joe has not lost suggest that he may very well have been fit to play more than we utilisied him this year.

On how we used Joe this year, it wouldn't have made much difference. On how another club uses Joe, would be very, very different.

Trust me. Joe would have played more games if he was ready to play.
He was not hiding himself away. He was close when he did his calf.
The fact all sides had hub issues with giving players real football games to condition players indicates it would not have been different for anyone.
As for how another club would have used him ? what they would have thrown him in the ruck after 12 months off ?
Joe cam back when he was fit to play. Fact.

Well if you trade out all your 24 year olds and replace them with more 24 year olds via trade then they won’t hit free agency until they’re 31 so you’d be sweet.

Why draft someone and put effort into developing them when you can go out and get a readymade player who won’t have the option to leave you for nada when they hit their prime?

Because not all players leave when they are 24.
