What about Karl norman and fev for Hadley merrett and 1st rounder
nope, taking away two promising youngsters and our first round pick? maybe minus the pick, but even then, hadly is the future of our midfield!

I just can't see that trading Hadley would even be a consideration for the Lions.

He was going to be the #1 player in our "next generation" of midfielders/onballers until that cruel knee injury brought him down at the beginning of this year, virtually before a shot was fired in anger.

Surely we need to keep him for at least another year to see if he lives up to expectations.

ok how many mids do you need
well, considering vossys on the way out, plus our midfield rotation scheme quite a few. selwood is still learning his trade at afl level, corrie more of a forward, plus hadley, as i said before is very very promising for the future.

I agree.

Look at our midfield....... Black, Power and Aka and only Black could really be considered as a permanent midfielder.

Lappin gets rotated through there but is more effective as a half-back flanker distrbuting the ball to runners.

We need another classy "in and under".............and that's Hadley.

I'll be stunned if Hadley is even put up as a potential trade.

I hope we do a proper rebuild, and keep all young potential guns. That means Hadley, Merrett, Adcock, Drummond, Selwood, and any others I missed. I would prefer to see older players who can not contribute step aside and take up other roles as much as possible.

Sad but true.

I'm not convinced that either or both the Scott brothers have nothing more to contribute to the Lion cause but it looks ever more likely that they may be the ones to go.

If so, speaking for myself, it will be a sad day. Both those boys spilt a lot of blood, sweat and tears for us and that look of disbelief on Chris' face when the siren went at the end of the 2001 GF will stay with me forever.

Apart from that, C.Scott actually playing against us feels like a scary proposition.
