It was mentioned a while ago too - I imagine it's a 7kg drop from the end of the season or earlier when we were talking to him while he was injured. So 7kg in 3-4 months for a footballer is very achievable, but is also quite a lot in the sense that he was very overweight.

Pickett is our most important recruit i reckon. If he stays fit. And performs to his junior level. ****.. we'd have accelerated the rebuild a full year almost in his acquistion alone.

Everyone on here is begging for another top 5 mid over the next two seasons... we may have just got one for chanhe

Totally agree, he's an sps'esque pickup already with experience in the system.

So I just need to get drafted?

Can you lose 7 kilos that quickly?
I heard a theory a long time ago.

Basically that the combined net weight of the human race always stays the same. So if a person, group of people or entire country lost weight, somewhere on the planet people are gaining that weight...

I think I know where Pickett's 7kg ended up....

I'm happy to take another 5kgs for the club

Jack seems to lack a bit of athleticism, so good news he's going to be a more traditional AFL size. Pretty excited about him, looks like a genuine footballer

I just don't know what position he is. He definitely is a footballer, he just has it but he is one of those awkward inbetweeners with his dimensions.

If he was 196-197 you would be ecstatic - hence the anticipation for Ben.

Good news he is growing, 2 more cms please Jack

Are people actually concerned about Jack's height? He's playing a 3rd tall and can push up as a high half forward, 193cm is perfect. He needs to work on his endurance but it's not like he's in danger of being out marked is he?

obviously nowhere near his level but same height as Gunston and similar physical attributes so the height is no issue

just conditioning and fitness and perhaps continued improvement in athleticism but height is not a concern for mine

I'm not concerned that he'll make it as a footballer since seeing him last season, it's just that when he was 190-191 I found it tough to imagine where he'd play in an AFL side.

I couldn't find a comparison (and hes nothing like Gunston).

The extra height and size is very promising though
