He didn't want Powell at 13 and pushed hard for Brayden Cook.
Lucky he didn’t get his way then. I’ve seen enough from Powell to think he will go ok at worst at afl level. Cook is a fair way off afl level atm.

I think Lachie is a good example of having decision making issues rather than technique issues. You can definitely improve decision making. Technique is harder to improve, but can be done as well.
True, he cut down on the really ambitious kicks and focused on nailing those common 25-40 metre kicks. Has become extremely reliable.

Omgggg I love when he’s streaming down and receives the handball from ccj and kicks a beauty

It lives rent free in my mind.

I think Clarko is going to protect the group a bit by simplifying the game plan and ensuring we get the basics right and then add layers from there.
Development is well and truly needed and will take time.

Hopefully the excitement around the club is maintained and the results will come but I can’t see major improvement this year just yet.
Bang on. Need to learn how to win first and foremost before getting ridiculously technical.

David Noble is held in such high regard in AFL circles, that he now works in the V8 Supercar industry.

A genuine turnip.
I get the point your trying to make but Eugene Arocca is the CEO of Motor Sport Australia so I'm not sure your argument stacks up.

Corey Enright was a s**t kick but then became one of their best users of the ball during the dynasty.

If you don't practice, it doesn't improve. Simple.
My favourite sessions are

4 mins alternating kicks
2 mins right & 2 mins left

David Noble clearly won't get another job coaching but he is still highly rated as a football administrator. He will be sought after by clubs but just needs to do something else for a while.

He is the last player we should be worried about. Just plain reliable in a mostly crap backline.

Agree. Football is a very forgiving industry, James Hird a case in point, it's a good career move by Noble spend some time away from the industry I'm sure we'll see him back in clubland sooner rather than later.

Good way to increase the confidence of the players by showing off their foot skills against 8 year olds

For those watching training, any Sam Gibson type kicks being aimed at kids heads?

I have to work (should be working now) or I'd be there.

Session all wrapped up. Very light and minimal. Forwards worked on goal kicking/set shots.

Defence just doing light training. Working on spoils and intercepting.

Mids did non contact match sim and also stoppage work on the wing and in the guts!

It’s looking like Tarryn Thomas will play half back as well as Ziebs. Both training with the defence.

Drury, TT, Ziebs, Dawson, LMac, Bon, Perez. Hally, Goater, Arch,Berg all training in defence!
