How long has Austin been playing in the forwardline for? I got the impression he was still mainly playing as a defender. Why isn't he?

He's been playing in the forward line for the Ants for the past couple of week, kicked multiple goals most times, and taken some big strong marks, but we drafted him as a defender, I think he may have moved into the forward line when Saddington was dropped back into the VFL

IMO Saddington should have gone forward so as not to disturb Austin's development as a defender.

Hartelett was also drafted as a defender and became a forward in the Antz this year.

We have so many developing and established KP forwards on our list and such a lack of KP defenders, and the Antz are turning what few defenders we have into forwards?!?!

Mitchell's revenge?

Either way, it makes it painfully clear that we need our own reserves VFL side asap!

Yes, well, one would naturally assume we would have left Austin in defence to learn the game and keep him there for 4 quarters, but, I guess Mitchell (who wanted wins) saw Saddington as an experienced AFL player who would lead the Ants defence, therefore, Austin had no place in the backline and had to move forward.
