LOL
you clearly dont know England very well with those claims... This isnt the 1980s .
even the most basic online image search can show you otherwise.

Newcastle for instance

1) I know quite a few people from Northern England (the Scouser population in Adelaide is huge) who love where they come from but aren't afraid of calling it a shit hole.

2) Elizabeth are the slums of Adelaide and they're going ahead with a $400,000,000 CBD project that when completed should look like a paradise. It will still be a shit hole.

Ha I was actually referring to how quickly your stadium empties.

Well I just melted for nothing.....:$

Most fans do that in England though, not just us. The Emirates and the Etihad empty out fairly ****in quickly when things aren't going their way. The only fans who get to claim the moral high ground on this argument are Liverpool and Everton supporters who aren't that fickle.

Possibly, but it was most noticeable at your place when we beat you 2-0, you emptied out by about 60 minutes. Maybe it was just the circumstances of that game, but I've seen it commented on in other games too.

That's more a lot of supporters being pissed off with the running of the club. Shit house managers (looking at you Paulo), shit house signings and a shit house atmosphere around the club coupled with the inevitability that we will be relegated this season (or if we're lucky enough, next season) and knowing that when we go down we could be in deep shit, it is a lot to deal with. If we finished 12th every season and had Carlton Cole as our main striker, the SoL would always be packed and people would be there for the full 90 regardless of the result. The last few years have been just dreadful though so when people do walk out it's a **** you to Short more than being pissed at losing.

Poor workrates will not be recruited into our club as long as he's manager.
Doesn't your record signing have a reputation for choosing when and when not to try though? (Just like ours does but minus the world class talent).

Sissoko's clearly not in Poch's preferred mould but he signed him anyway.

Sissoko seems to put effort in at a higher level than Newcastle which we obviously are. One bad game aside I've been pretty happy with what he has added to our squad

Yeah not disagreeing haha, just saying your club seems to do it worse so that might play a part in it.

And look what he did to him. Froze him out for a couple weeks and made his attitude change, and it did.

Now he's changed the formation and he's used far less. Sissoko isn't stupid, he wants to stay in the France squad so the effort is there.

Fair enough. Just odd how Poch made such a big signing then had to immediately reprimand him, and now he barely gets game time. Never understood why Spurs didn't use that money on someone who perfectly fits the mentality and game style (perhaps Meyer/Batshuayi).

Sissoko hasn't been shithouse, but seems like he was a deadline day panic buy who, despite offering a bit, was nowhere near the first choice target.

It's an ok deal. He is great on set pieces but outside of that, he's fairly average.
We'll play him wide right. Bilic seems to have settled on a formation where Lanzini plays LW and cuts inside, so Snoddy will do likewise with the full backs overlapping, and Antonio playing as a Second Striker of sorts.

Downing did alright for us when he was with us, so I'm hoping Snodgrass has a similar sort of impact.

He can also play off the striker, he's not an out-and-out wide player, so pretty useful in any attacking position. Have a feeling we've played him as a lone striker before as well and didn't look too bad.

well the guy is about to be 34 and has won absolutely everything there is to win at club level. see out his contract and get paid megabucks.

his temperament always meant he was underrated as a footballer. incredible defender. better than ramos until ramos went on his lets score in the 91st min to ruin the opposition spree.

Him and Antonio could rotate then for sure.

We're also short on left footers, with Ogbonna getting injured, only Cresswell and Carroll are the remaining ones in our best 11.
