Don't think I'm the one missing the point.

He scored in the PL last season as an 18 year old and has looked terrific for Fulham this season.

The point of comparing to Salah was that sneering at his goal output over his first two seasons is so irrelevant to judging the quality of a player.
You dont get it. Im not surprised. Let's move on.

I don't reckon. Gini looked great at Liverpool last season. Would have no qualms about his ability personally.

What do I know anyway? I laughed at Chelsea getting Silva thinking he was finished and would be a waste even on a free transfer.

Is he out of contract in the summer or is it next season?

End of the season but there have been rumors of an extension. He's got a cult following and loves the lifestyle on Merseyside so wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he extended although at his age he probably does want to become a regular starter.

Either way he will be required in January so unless we get 10m plus I don't see him going anywhere. There's no point selling him for par value which would be around 5-6m pounds in Jan.

Then why have an opinion, all you are going to do is look like a fool.
Jesus christ. Ive explained the article was funny and called bs on it too. Im allowed to have opinions on the article. Not the footballer as I've never seen him play so dont know if he's any good.

Is it so difficult to understand.

Christ BigFooty is hard sometimes.

You think that after 20 years you’d have figured out talking about something you know nothing about makes you look a tad silly

It's just weird your calling something out you know nothing about.

How is everyone not understanding. Is everyone having a stroke?

The article states all the biggest team in the europe are chasing some young kid. Then the article states he's scored 5 in 17. I just found it funny, usually the first statement is followed by 15 in 17 not 5 in 17. It's amusing.

Why is everyone being dumb?

To be fair the article does highlight his statistics and make out like they are very good. I've seen Carvalho play in snippets and agree that he does look a talent but it does seem silly for the article to quote his goalscoring stats while linking him with big clubs. Don't understand why anyone would have a problem with that.

Grow up mate.

Usually when everyone else gets it and not you, the problem is with you. Someone with a touch of maturity would recognise this and stop digging.

As I've already pointed out though, scoring in the PL as an 18 year old is incredibly promising, plus the Championship isn't a shit division and he's doing well there too. Nothing wrong with his goal scoring record at his age.

And nobody has said otherwise. Those stats are definitely not headline worthy though.

And as I've already pointed out. None of this has anything to do with the kid or his talent.

It's about the funny sensationalist journalism.

Young hot shot striker is being courted by Real Madrid, Liverpool, City and Barcelona after tearing onto the scene and scoring .... 5 goals in 17 games.

Haha ... ok.

Eh? The headline is the big clubs wanting him.

While quoting his goal stats at the same time. Jod's correct to point out that the stats aren't headline worthy. Promising young player linked to big clubs would have been a more appropriate headline.

Erling Haaland stats when he was on the market in January at the start of last year are the sort of stats that should be quoted in a headline.
