Right.. so the tweet was highlighting that he's already scored 5 (again, one in the PL) which is very impressive for someone of his age, as someone not playing as a striker, and is being linked to big clubs because of his qualities. Not really pedantics mate. But you've figured that out by now surely.

Again, they quote his goals because at his age to have scored 5 in 17 at such a high level is incredibly impressive. It's used to add context to the interest as that's the stat most take an interest in, as evidenced here by Jod's routine.

Haaland was 3 years older than Carvalho at that point and plays as a striker. So again, I don't really get the fixation you and Jod have on this stat when they're completely different roles.

5 in 17 is not really impressive and not headline worthy. Haaland was not 3 years older than Carvalho either. He was 19 when he was on the market in January 2020, the same age as Carvalho is now.

Nobody is saying he isn't a quality young player but trying to argue that 5 in 17 is worthy of a headline is rather silly.

The only person getting wound up here is yourself by the claim that 5 goals in 17 games is hardly headline worthy. Not sure why that winds you up so much, it really isn't headline worthy.
