I don't really know what Leeds' income has to do with it if they have a valuation of the player they're trying to buy. You don't buy Hamer for 100m just because you have 100m.

Clubs are going to try and take advantage of it though. Celtic have over 100 million in the bank and as a PLC have to keep updating the stock exchange that they are loaded. Stupid ****s still don't get the transfer business done early though and all the other clubs know O'Riley went for Scottish transfer record and will rinse a desperate Celtic in the dying hours of the window.

Isn't the opposite true then?

Sheffield Utd as a relegated club have instant PSR problems and need to shed wages and transfer liability.

The low offer has worked on this occasion, Sheff Utd have come back with the price for sale of £18m.

If they were that offended, why then prove that he actually is for sale? It's not as if it was a £3m offer.

Worth the punt for sure at that price and at his age. Worrying that Juve were clearly happy to get rid.
Only has a year left on his deal but even then 10 million pounds is absolutely peanuts. No real risk in it as that price but even still, it doesnt address any of our weaknesses.
