Yeah I dont think Rodri ever ends up at Real Madrid.

To be honest, City dont lose players, they have so much money and they win everything, there is no reason for players they want to keep to end up leaving.

Didn't Alvarez just go to Atletico Madrid?

He did but he wasnt a player they wanted to keep in a sense of a Rodri, KDB, Haaland, Foden etc

Would they have preferred he stay? Of course. Was he really that important to them? No.

He was a backup for Haaland. Easily replaceable.

They dont lose their top players.

They do of course lose players who get sick of sitting on the bench behind said top players haha.

Alvarez played almost every game last season.

Alvarez was much more than a Haaland back up. I read that his minutes played in the league last season was only behind Rodri, Foden, Ederson etc. He would’ve played a significant amount of time alongside Haaland on the pitch.

Think he started something like 35+ games.

If City wanted to keep him they would have. He was being played out of position and obviously wanted out.

He won the treble as a starter. I highly doubt he wanted out for lack of playing time or being played out of position. Sometimes players from Spanish speaking backgrounds want to play for Spanish clubs. It’s not unusual.

And sometimes clubs get offered significant fees and feel compelled to sell. But Jod knows best.

I think City has broken jod. The thoughts he has on our power compared to reality dont reslly match up.

We do lose games, we do sell players because it's financially worth our while. Sometimes we sell players because they want to play elsewhere.

City havent broken me.

Nothing you said there contradicts what I said.

City dont lose players they want to keep.

It's pretty simple.

People said for years Silva would leave or Aguero would leave etc. They didnt, they played almost their entire careers at City. Same has happened for KDB. The same will happen for Haaland probably, that one is a bit murky depending on what happens with the 116 charges or however many they are fighting.

But yeah, thats all I said, is that City dont lose players they want to keep which is true.
