Have said that Black 18 is right on the money, guys like boak, gray and krak would be untouchable in trading this year.

Its easy to look good in a gun side. Just look at the WC .Eagles. 2 years ago blokes like Hunter, Nicoski, Butler, Waters, Fletcher looked like stars. Would you want them now. Not saying Prismall or Lonegran are stars but they wouldnt add that much IMO to your current state of affairs. And Boak in a Geelong guernsey would be a scary thing. Port would never let him go..... Unless Griffin gets homesick for obvious reasons Boak and your second rounder for Griff?

Yeah, but Cooney was about 16 at the time.

This all a bit silly really. Unless decides he wants out , he will be going nowhere.
Most young players , probably like Prissmal for eg. at years end , only want to move when lacking chances in the 1's.

However if he did decide to go home to Vic , like Stevens , I doubt if MW would force him to the bottom side and get zero for him. In that case a good young player plus a pick would be a reasonable trade. Prismall or Varcoe or Gamble plus a pick would be sort of fair in a forced swap. The fact is in this sort of situation you rarely feel a winner.

For mine I hope he stays , although from the Geelong area I don't think he followed the Cats and after a couple of years in SA , getting senior games he should now be happy to be at the PA Football Club
