What if Collingwood have a bit of a salary cap pinch next season and knowing they weren't going to push for the top four this year decided to tell Travis that due to the nature of his contract they will be dropping him in order for him to fail the contract terms for a larger salary in 2017?

Then Travis spat the dummy and hasn't been interested since, knowing he was being screwed out of half his payday - deciding to move on as soon as he could.

Please don't pick him Bulldogs. I like Cloak, but the Dogs need to continue drafting kids and building a forward line with a future, not a 1 year stopgap.
Uh, we need cover for Redpath who will miss most of 2017. A newly drafted KPF takes at least a couple of years to start showing something (usually).

Our forward line has been abysmal since Redpath went down and Stringer's form slump coincided with that.

If Cloke came cheap and could kick a couple of goals a game it would be a great move.

EXCLUSIVE: COLLINGWOOD spearhead Travis Cloke has requested a trade from the Magpies.

Cloke’s manager, Robbie D’Orazio from Connors Sports Management, officially informed the club today.

The 29-year-old has been frustrated at being dropped from the senior team three times this season.

His likely new home could be one of Western Bulldogs and Richmond.

A club announcement is expected this afternoon.

The sight of Travis spraying them wide from 20m out directly in front in a Richmond jumper would be worth the price of admission. Make it happen Dimma.
Dogs or Tigers would be a great fit - actually everyone is a great fit - except for North.

If he's looking at sub 400K then it's worth the gamble I think. A new environment could work wonders.

If the Doggies get Cloke and he plays the pure KPF role that would free Stringer up to play more of a forward flanker/small forward role and he could be even more damaging then. Does this make sense or am I talking through my hat?

Your confusing Cloke with Carey...

Dogs would do well to play Cloke at CHF, Boyd in the goal square and Stringer as a HF/forward pocket/burst midfielder.

What happens when the Dogs have both Boyd and Cloke playing VFL footy next year?
Boyd only played VFL when he was coming back from injury. He's been behind only Bonti as our most important player over the past 6-7 weeks.

We only need him to take a tall defender away from which ever target we have deep - Boyd, Redpath in 2018, resting ruck like Roughy or Campbell who can both take contested marks.

Our HF line presence has been woeful this year. Crameri controls one side, Cloke the other, and we'll have some sort of system to transition he ball properly.

Why the hell would the Tigers even bother?
I'd be livid as a Tigers member if they got cloke in
Remember when their list manager said that they couldn't afford to rebuild as the fans wouldn't accept it, so they decided to bring in mature players so they could stay middle of the road and play finals?

At Punt Rd would be closer to his place of (other)work..Channel Ed. Be curious to be a fly on the wall to hear how this contract with 9 plays out going forward. I suspect he's no longer the on air talent he was when a Pie.
