Unfortunately, the Tiges have had another poor draft. Ziebell was easily the best talent available at the Tiges pick, but they were forced to use it on a ruck, because of the no-progress of Putt and Graham. That oversight could haunt them. The Tiges also traded away/used draft picks of 2 recycled players who couldn't make Port and the Dons senior teams. Did Miller really leave? :)
ahhh my dear deluded friend, look up and have a real good look, this thread is about goofy v cotchin and 70% of people thik that cotchin is a gun & carlton made the mistake that you are know accusing richmond of making.
yarren was never considered to be in the top 3 he was expected to be chosen in the 1st round but late so carlton did reach for him out of desperation. carltons foward line is a shambles with absolute rubish apart from fev, which could also implode any day.
fisher, betts, edwards are all 3rd rate fowards and will all be long gone by 2011.
vickery on the otherhand is a true top 5 pick this year & only fell to us because hartlett was clearly the best mid in the draft & was too good for port to pass up & the other team that finished BENEATH us didnt need a ruckman. in saying all this i do believe carlton had a good draft yarran could become a very good player but isnt the type of player that carlton are DESPERATE for. robinson & tiller & o,keefe were all good picks for where they were selected.
but carlton still need another 2 kpf which atm are not on your list.

Why not? Didn't expect to get Yarran, as many had him pencilled in at #2 or #3. Unbelievable get by the Blues. Was expecting us to get Ziebell or possibly Hartlett. Rich will be a solid clearance player, but not spectacular. Good pickup by the Lions nonetheless. Why on Earth didn't the Tiges take Ziebell? Just bizarre. I wonder when we'll start seeing Yarran V Cotchin polls? Best way to think of Yarran is a version of Cotchin with a lot more leg speed and about 20m extra distance on his kicking, better overhead and A LOT more dangerous in front of goals. Suspect the polls will surface mid 2009. :)

Are you serious???

Watts, Natinui (spelling) and Rich were going to go 1,2,3 all year. Hurley was also considered a top 3 early in the year and Hartlett and Vickery were both touted as possible #4 picks but Yarran? The highest I saw him on anyones list was about 5.

This thread is about Cotchin or Kreuzer.

Stick to the topic at hand and leave the trolling for Bay 13 and the abuse out all together.

Hahahahah Parrot's now a draft expert :p

A lot of people had Vickery as a possible #1 thank you very much.

We are really nervous about facing that midfield and team.

B: Bower Jamison Carrazzo
HB: Thornton Waite Scotland
C: Stevens Gibbs Simpson
HF: Yarran Cloke Houlihan
F: Betts Fevola Fisher
R: Warnock Judd Murphy

I/C Kreuzer Grigg Walker Hadley

Emerg: Hampson Browne Russell Anderson Robinson Bentick Bannister Wiggins Austin Edwards Hartlett Joseph Ellard Armfield Edwards Hartlett O'hAilpin O'Keeffe Tiller Chris Johnson*

*PSD if he gets through.

Cloke, Houlihan, Fisher, Carrazzo, Thornton, Hadley and Walker are still in your best 22

Stevens is at fat camp again, looks to be going the same way as Whitnall.

At least you drafted a few KPP talls in the draft, seeing as that where your main weakness is.... you did draft some talls didn't you......

Why on earth didn't you guys take Cotchin, Myers, Palmer, Morton or Rioli????

Cotchin? lol. Matty Kruezer is a class above talent wise. The Blues got the best talent with their #1 pick, and it looks like paying off. Cotchin should be good, and at best he'll be a Lenny Hayes type i.e strong bodied, and good disposal over short distances, but limited versatility and one-paced. At worse he'll be another Raines. Richmonds player development record has been shocking under Terry, and this will be a significant hurdle for Cotchin to overcome. In the latter part of 2008 we already saw a deterioration in his performance i.e. costly turnovers, and strange chip-kick decisions e.g. V Crows. It's almost as though his good junior coaching was starting to wear-off, and Terry's bad influence was starting to have an impact. We saw the same thing happen with Delidio, who's best year was easily his first, and deteriorated after that. Richmond need to sort out their player development issues. A new coach will help in that regard. Pretty sure March knows the problem, and we'll see some positive coaching changes at Tigerland before the end of season 2009. This should help Cotchin's development. :)

And you know our list better than Ratten and the coaching staff?

Our playing group beat Richmond this year without Judd.

Your supporters were going on and on about not needing a KPP in the draft because you have a good young spine.

Yet you drafted Post with pick 26.

Never listen to Richmond fans.

Post might join Moore in your leadership group.

Punt Road has become a dumping ground for failed mids after you recruited Thomson and Hislop.

Can't the Tigers draft their own midfielders?

Lewis would have been a better pick than Tambling.
Why on earth didn't you guys take Cotchin, Myers, Palmer, Morton or Rioli????

Because we picked Judd and not McMahon. :)

Despite a warning to stay on topic, you lot can't do so.

It's the same suspects over and over and a polls board ban is the next step for a lot of you.
