I went with...

Jose Gonzalez - Down The Line
Regina Spektor - Real Love
Silversun Pickups - Lazy Eye
LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends
Kings Of Leon - Fans
Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (live)
Eddie Vedder – Rise
John Butler Trio – Losing You
Digitalism - Pogo
Eddie Vedder – Far Behind

I voted for a couple of songs they've never played which is a bit dumb but I wanted it to be my top 10 so bugger it.

I also have a minor wager on On Call to go No.1 at $51. Really don't want it to be Straight Lines.

1. Jay Z - Roc Boys - Clear number 1 for me
2. Silverchair - Those thieving birds - Underrated song
3. Crowded House - Dont Stop now - Best song from then in yonks
4. Kanye West - Stronger
5. Alterbridge - Blackbird
6. Foo Fighters - The Pretender
7. Alterbridge - Before tomorrow Comes
8. Powderfinger - Long Way to Go
9. Silverchair - Young Modern Station
10. John Butler Trio - Better Than

Struggled for number 10. My top 9 were pretty clear cut.

Alterbridge - Blackbird album of the year for me

Does anyone know if the JJJ website will have a stream available or a replay of the hottest 100 the following day. We have cricket on Saturday and hence cant listen to it so ideally the lads want to get a few beers and convert it to a Sunday.

They are streaming it live. On the website you can listen to the 06 countdown, but Im not sure when the 07 one will be added up

They usually replay the whole thing later in the week.

Its a bastard that aussie day, the cricket and the JJJ hottest 100 are all on the same day. We're usually out and about and have to switch between both cricket and music on the radio

hmmmm, just has a quick flick through a few of the countdowns from the past years....couldn't see Arcade Fire on any of them....could this be their debut in top 100?

happy to stand corrected

Did anyone else here the JJJ presenter today say that the countdown was being sent out LIVE to all states this year and that perth would have to tune in at 8AM for the start?

Every other year it has been a 2 hour delay for a 10.00 start.

Website says nothing.

Stimulate vision with the cricket.....turn down the commentary and stimulate your hearing with the countdown.....stimulate your tastebuds with another cold beer and lamb chop :thumbsu:

That is rubbish if true.

Here are the songs I voted for.

1. The Panics - Get Home. Awesome song that got stuck in my head for about a week. JJJ were correct in voting this album of the year as it is a gem.

2. Architecture In Helsinki - Heart It Races. Loved the calypso feel to this song.
3. Bluejuice - Vitriol. Maybe it was the videoclip that won me over when they
pretend to be members of a cult and start having convulsions and talking in
tongues in the middle of the Sydney CBD. Awesome energy in this song and
the lead singer (the energetic one) cracks me up.

4. Cold War Kids - Hospital Beds. A real moving song this one with heaps of
raw energy.

5. Interpol - Mammoth. Love the guitar riff in this one after the chorus.
The live version of the song was great as well, with the cameras zooming on
the crowd who were all looking spell bound.

6. Kings Of Leon - On Call. I simply had to put something in of this album
as it was my favourite for the first half of 2007. It was a toss up between this
and Fans and I went for this one in the end.

7. Mattafix - Skate Your Limbs. Their first album was fantastic and this song
takes me back to it, loved how Sam Simmons used to start the request program
"with shake your dim sims".

8. Maximo Park - Girls Who Play Guitars. Sung along to this one in the car a
couple of times so I thought it deserved a guernsey.

9. Soko - I'll Kill Her. Thought long and hard about this one, I thought it was
hillarious when it first came out but it is a bit of a chick song and you wouldn't
want to listen to it to many times in a row. I do like the high notes she hits in
the verse and decided to chuck it in.

10. Feist - 1234. Just a really mellow song but it does hit the spot.

My tip for the winner is probably an Australian act like SilverChair or John Butler,
but you never know (I didn't think Augie March would win it last year).

Was a hottest 100 of all time when it first began. In 92 they only opened the voting to songs from that year or at least singles in the year.

I believe this was done due to the release of smells like teen spirit. They took a year off and decided to make it the hottest 100 songs from the previous year as they saw it pointless to be counting down to the same song every year. Think i read that in the cd cover booklet from one of the last to hottest 100 cd's

For residence in Sydney The Hottest 100 Official Party will be held in the Domain where all the broadcasters are. It's a really good day I went last year where it held in Hyde Park but looks like this one is gonna be huge!!!

Can't you get it on your mobile or somethin?

I'll be on the water to, but will probably have to stick with the old wireless for the cricket

Nah, not on 3. Pretty pointless being on 3 in rural WA, no service.

Most of the time i'll be floating around the boat on a blow up lounge anyway. Hottest 100, with regular switchovers for the cricket score during crap songs works ok for 1 day
