Saw Aiston at a Hurley pub a few years back. Looked like he was charged with organising some Melb Cup do in the front bar.

Cheap suit, crumpled shirt with scuffed shoes and a "sad sack" look on his face, he looked a right mess.

Felt sorry for him then I remembered the cheap shots at us from his TV days and thought... nah f'ck him.

IIRC he was mugged just off Melbourne St one night. He said at the time he thought he was going to be bashed.

Ended up only losing his phone.

I think he's had gambling, alcohol and marriage breakdown issues - not sure in which order.

Not trying to stir up dissent here, but can someone explain to me why the Russians/Belarusians are allowed to play in the Open? I know they are flagged "neutral" but the commentators often refer to them as Russian. Can't imagine that sits well with many.
