and effectively an extra $370 million in cash, so, annually, an extra $74 million in cash,

okay, fair enough, year 1 of the previous deal compared to year 5 of new deal is a fair levelling out via inflation etc, but, year 5 of existing deal (2011) compared to year 1 of new deal (2012), an extra $74 million effectively overnight, (consider K.Hunt and I.Folau paid for, and GWS and GCS covered for the next few years -just so long as it get's everyone through to when the AFL takes over Docklands)

It was necessary for the push into GWS, so good on the AFL for doing it.
