Just finished True Detective, anyone else watching it seen it?

Also just finished season 2 of House of Cards.

Both highly recommended if you have Apple TV etc.

True Detective was brilliant. Never got into House of Cards.

Picked up the Twin Peaks blu-ray box set the other day so am steadily working my way through that.

Also just watched Nathan Barley the other day. Very funny and clever.

First season and a half of House of Cards was great. Slowed down a lot at the end of the second season but it was pretty full on up until that point. Robin Wright Penn is brilliant and Kevin Spacey is pretty good in it.

Never watched Twin Peaks, heard it's good though.

Never heard of Nathan Barley but the write ups look pretty funny, I'll check it out.

On Twin Peaks: once you figure out who the killer is in season 2, don't bother watching any of the rest of it. It doesn't get better. Once you see David Duchovny in drag, switch off immediately. That rule probably works in general, actually.

Yeah I've seen it before. As you say it's only worth watching until you find out who the killer is. Probably some of the best TV ever made though.

Beausgirl43 has just worked her way through four seasons of Game of Thrones and yours truly has paid it some attention 'twixt levels of Plants vs Zombies.

Dreadful. Worse than BASEketball. Nary a laugh to be had. What is it with you under 35s?

Rewatching Deadwood at the moment. The missus hadn't seen it before so it was a good excuse. Still disappointed that HBO never got around to the TV movies to finish it off.

Silicon Valley. What Big Bang Theory should have been.

Have just started on House Of Cards with True Detective in the back pocket.

3rd & last series of The Newsroom should be airing soon too.

The plot was certainly engrossing enough to overlook it after a while. Personally my second favourite behind Breaking Bad (Y)

I really liked it I am hooked. season 4 really got quite good toward the end so as I said can't wait for season 5

Absolutely brilliant. So much better than season 1.

I like Peaky Blinders...I have an enduring interest the era and is a bit like Boardwalk Empire with references to historical people and events woven into the fiction and the music of the day.

I also recommend True Detective and Fargo the series as well as the movie.

I know it's yet another vampire themed series but "the Strain" has got me in.

Some genuinely nerve jangling moments of suspense, a goodly dose of genuine horror plus a story line that has enough intrigue and sub-plots to keep me interested.
