True Detective was superior TV and required viewing but the ending was a disappointment (can't expand without spoilers so wont).

Used to hang out for The Walking Dead, but there seem to be only so many ways to kill a zombie, and I tire of the living changing their allegiances so dramatically and quickly. Getting a bit forced.

Like much of Game of Thrones but similarly the padding is becoming more evident. When will Khaleesi (sp?) get off her arse and use those dragons!?!

Guess I'm more a movie guy. Two hours and it's done. The only show I watch every year without fail is Men Behaving Badly. Every year around Christmas I grab the entire box set and churn through it over a couple weeks. Flawless character driven comedy.

I'm really enjoying Utopia. Obviously it'll never be as good as Frontline but if you've every had an office job you'll get plenty of laughs from the show.

The Simpsons and Family Guy crossover was pretty good. Doesn't make up for both shows being pretty terrible for at least the last 10 years.

The Walking Dead Season 5 starts in 6 days. Best kind of pre season distraction since cricket.

Finished watching two seasons of The Bridge... very good series. Mostly about the drug trade between Texas and Juarez and its impact.

As to what's next... Too much to list... It's prime TV season in the US so everything has just started back up the last couple of weeks... Not enough time!!!

Haven't started Homeland S4 but in keen to see where they take the sorry... Also last ever seasons of Sons of Anarchy and Broadwalk Empire

The Bridge (US), Homeland, The Walking Dead, The Good Wife, Person of Interest, The Blacklist, True Detective, Da Vinci's Demons, Game of Thrones, House of Cards (US), Justified, Mad Men, Masters of Sex, Orphan Black, Rectify, The Americans, The Musketeers (it gets better), Vikings.

This is my "currently watching" list.

Favourite is probably Vikings.

Just discovered Utopia (the British show) and it is excellent. Shame it got cancelled after only 2 seasons. Hopefully David Finchers US version is even better.

This should be in a confessions thread - I am addicted to New Tricks.

It's all my parents watch. And in turn my spending my weekends with them, they've got me watching it too. Great show!

Right now though, being a Batman geek, I'm loving Gotham. Only a few minor grievances with the characters, such as Oswald Cobblepot not being ****ing British!

I've tried to like it, but I just can't turn off my cynicism watching modern Dr Who. It tries too hard to be clever and its just not.

It feels so good to get that off my chest.

I feel the same. Friends keep chucking it on when I'm over and I politely watch it but it just seems incredibly smug. I can't get into it.

My partner hadn't seen The Wire so I'm stoked to have an excuse to watch it again. Nearing the end of season 4 - still as brilliant as ever. Thinking of having a crack at The Leftovers afterwards.

Apart from that I've just been catching up on Mad Men and a few history series.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a live action comedy? I'm up to date with Bob's Burgers and Rick and Morty and I'd like to move away from animation. Brooklyn Nine Nine is easy to watch but not brilliant. I still enjoy Parks and Rec but that's not back for a while (same boat for Silicon Valley). Apart from that if it's semi-new and not on free-to-air I probably haven't seen it. Willing to give almost anything a chance.

Yeah loving the last ever season on both...."Black Sails", "Orange is the new Black",....."Penny Dreadful,..."Hannibal"...and "The 100"...with the exception of orange is the new black... jury is still out on all the others..

Ground floor is without a doubt the funniest show I've seen. Friends, Community, the Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother don't come close. I recommend for everyone to watch to watch it.
