First half of Luke Cage was good. Second half has been riddled with plot holes and cliches that I'm not sure are intended as a way to harken back to 70s Blacksploitation films or just poor/rushed writing. I'm yet to watch the final episode, though. The music is great.

Speaking of music, how good was the music in the first episode of Westworld? I haven't watched it a second time yet, but I caught western styled versions of Black Hole Sun and Paint it Black and there were probably more I missed.

I stopped watching Luke Cage after episode 8. Early on it was great.

Westworld is awesome, really enjoying it so far.

Also heard that Hannibal is a chance of coming back which is terrific news!

Im interested in Westworld. Sounds like could be good. Might wait until the whole season is done though

Never went deep with this show but it was one I put on the to watch list; Silence of the Lambs and Mads built up a lot of credits for me. Good news if it eventuates. I'd like to see Amazon get more instrumental in creating or continuing high profile series. Transparent is their only real flagship so far but we need as many players in the original streaming content as possible, they need some more hits or series with established audiences.

watched the first season of Mr Robot a while ago and loved it, have watched the first 3 episodes of season 2 and not that impressed by it, hopefully it improves.

Season 2 was a very different tale and suffers a bit from such a dynamic first season. More about building characters and plot progression. I watched week to week and felt it would probably have been better in larger chunks. However hearing Sam Esmail describe what this season is trying to do helped me feel better about it.

This is where TV shows are at the moment and why we are getting such great and interesting stories compared to movies. Directors have much more freedom to move outside conventional script and story telling.

It never ceases to amaze me how a show like Hannibal, which I rate as one of the best tv shows ever made in terms of acting, visual and sound (together), struggles to 3 seasons and is then canned...and you have shows like Supernatural and the Kardashians that get 10+ seasons with ease. People must be content with watching absolute junk.

I watched episodes 1-4 of Designated Survivor. I wouldn't bother. Some of the acting is horrific and it looks set to be a slow burn tease.

Good to see some Hannibal love. Severely underrated series

You got through 2 more than me. Can't quite put my finger on why it didn't grip me, it was just a meh reaction

I went through the 4 eps in ~1hr 20 or so, so skipping through lots. Very bland and formulaic characters. Poor acting. Likely a slow burn tease. Kiefer didn't even break any hands with a hammer while screaming "where is the bomb". Very underwhelming.

Think for most people they like to veg when watching shows. My other half and I are like that, complete opposite in not only what we watch, but why. When she watches a show at the end of the day, she doesn't want to think or follow it. She watches modern family, or Brooklyn 99 or something like that. Which is why i've laughed off every attempt she has made to start watching GOT.

I like something that is more interesting to follow. When i watch a show, i'm actively watching it, not passively kinda watching while chillin out. I've been hitting up Narcos lately, really enjoying that.

Shows like Modern Family and Brooklyn 99 are different though. I think the whole comedy genre, shows like community, the office and parks and rec, are for when you just want to zone out. There isn't usually much depth achievable and often you can pick up any episode and watch it.

Narcos is :handok::handok::handok:

Agreed. Think i found the right words with active and passive watching. I'm an acitve watcher, other half is passive.

Will be a third season judging by the last ep of season 2. Liked season 2 better than season 1.

Anyone seen Animal Kingdom on Netflix? Seen the first episode last night, seems half decent.

Also, Westworld is very good if anyone has checked it out.

Just finished the first season. Not everything works, and it's probably one or two episodes too long, but I reckon it's worth persisting. Final episode is a cracker.
