hm yes, that was interesting.." Around the dinner table, the conversation is lively" - bizarre message. Did Coop send this type of message to Diane in s1/2?
So there's definitely a reason why Dougie ended up working at that particular insurance company and finally we did learn more about him.
True, that car accident line from Bushnell Mullins gave some insight into why no one thought Dougie's erratic behaviour was a big deal.

Pretty sure Good Coop was never thay cryptic to Diane in the original run, at least not in isolation.

The website I mentioned earlier it even has a hidden coordinate pointing to somewhere in South Dakota. Google Maps didn't give me much but I suspect it'd come in handy

I will check that website soon, poor guy was a mess

Hastings has given us some clues with what happened and how time travel and/or other dimensions played a role in M Briggs' death. Good Coop needs to wake up soon!

So good to see Hastings again. The poor bastard. That was another superb ep, albeit about as different as you could possibly get from ep 8.

Loved Hasting's performance. And just on that website, even if you don't read all the stuff (I don't plan to...), there are a few short vids and audio files that are full blown ep8-Lynch. As in super surreal and creepy and waiting-for-scary-woodsman-behind-the-diner-in-Mulholland-Drive types (haven't seen one yet though)

And words still can't describe how much I love Diane (And Laura Dern fullstop)

Laura Dern/Diane and Janey-e are both awesome. Diane was hilarious at the morgue while lighting up a cigarette.

That Hastings' website is so 1990s, my favourite part was the visitors counter lol

On Sunday night’s episode of Twin Peaks, David Lynch took viewers deeper into the mysteries of the death of Major Garland Briggs and the murder of South Dakota librarian Ruth Davenport. He also took attentive viewers deeper into the mysteries of 1997-era web design. The subject arises in a crucial scene in which Matthew Lillard’s character William Hastings—suspected of killing Davenport—is interrogated by Chrysta Bell’s FBI agent Tammy Preston. “Are you the author of an online journal or blog entitled the Search for the Zone?” she asks him. It turns out that in both Twin Peaks’ dimension and our own, the answer to that question is an emphatic yes. Hastings’ website is online at thesearchforthezone.com, and it’s everything Twin Peaks fanatics could hope for, short of a home visit from those delightful woodsmen.

Hastings’ blog is as much of a return to the 1990s as the show’s revival: The web counter (remember those?) at the top of the page proclaims that the site was created on June 1, 1997, and the design hasn’t changed a bit since then. There are some deep cuts from the early web: Hasting’s site was a Yahoo! Pick of the Week and won a Webwalkers What-A-Site Award. Is there a guest book? Oh, you bet there’s a guest book. Like most sites of its era, staring at the graphic design will make your eyes bleed like you just sailed face-first into a nuclear mushroom cloud. I mean:

Netscape!!!

Yes, Naomi Watts is an absolute delight to watch. Loved her obviously in Mulholland Dr. And how very awkward was Tammy. I'm pretty sure her main gig is a singer not an actor.

Tammy can't act, and yes she's a singer. She always looks so uncomfortable and awkward, they should've picked a better actress.

That website is soo weird, did you click on any of the links?

Probably because Chrysta Bell is one of Lynch's muses (like Laura Dern, Isabella Rossellini) - so awkward.

I've clicked a few - didn't read the masses of texts. Someone on Reddit did and posted some summaries, some apparently pertained strongly to the glass box early on (about transporting between dimensions). The sound/vid clips I saw, creepy af but loved the style.

At least, Laura and Isabella can act. Tammi is just awkward.

I checked out a few links, and some creepy sounds and images came up. Did you notice the numbers on the bottom on the page?

I hope we get to see more of Hastings, he is awesome

Thanks to Reddit I did find the coordinates - and some guy who lives nearby went to check it out and took photos! Didn't look particularly interesting though.
Edit: not sure why the link doesn't seem to be working. It's just a Reddit page...

Someone actually went there? lol Good read.

Well I'll be a catfish in a coffee pot. Gold! The trespassing was totally worth it...

I wonder if the coordinates are mentioned in the Secret History, I will check tomorrow. Also, going back to the text message, did you notice Diane's message had a comma. Someone must've relayed that text message to her

I missed the comma - only knew it's in all caps. So not convinced the theory that Diane and Evil Coop were in cahoots (or maybe I just refuse to believe it!). Don't specifically recall coordinates in the secret history but there's so much stuff there I probably missed a lot

fruitcake anyone lol

Btw, Janey E won't be happy when she finds out her husband is not "real"
Well is she even real?? Naomi Watts has been inspired in that role. So good.

Who knows lol The whole family is just odd, but Janey E is awesome.
The fact that the kid is called Sonny Jim makes me think the whole family's fake. But then again it could genuinely be something that David Lynch thinks people name their kids!

Sonny Jim, what a name. I am sure there's some meaning behind that name and the whole family, and that red door!

I'm starting to suspect that Janey-E/Sonny Jim are of the same ilk as Naomi Watts' character in Mulholland Dr, ie. They would wake up and realise they're actually different people.

Or they could both be woodsmen. Ha.

Haha woodsmen... Actually, afterwards, i thought about her Mulholland Drive character, very similar characteristics.
Plus, it's odd. How did dougie and janey-e even meet and also sonny Jim barely speaks

#FakeWorld :D

I first saw Mulholland Dr when I couldn't sleep one night at 2am. Needless to say I didn't sleep again for another 24 hours.
